Kinda the same for all commishion sales peeps aint it?
(no disrespect intended)
Absolutely, disrespect deserved! Actually, I'm joking about that. Not to toot my own horn, but when I had a PT gig nights at Sears selling tractors and mowers, I saw a "slickster" take on a poor guy who asked for a riding mower. There was a lame 4 HP rider that had just a 27" deck, for $899. After he sold it to him, I asked the sales shyster "Chuck, why did you sell that guy a 4HP machine that only cuts grass and just 27" at a time, when we had a regular lawn tractor that has so many other options for use, and even if he just wants to cut grass it has 8 HP and a 36" deck, for just thirty dollars more???" ........... I already knew the answer, but asked him this in front of the other sales people just so they could hear his answer and pass their own judgement on this creep ....... "the riding mower pays a higher commission" ....... it was a $5 difference in commission.
Same thing used to happen when I sold furniture for a year..... "Jim, why did you sell that couple that piece of crap "universal spring" sofa for 799 when there's that much better "drop in coil" set in the same color over there for just fifty bucks more? ...... "Commission, baby!". The cheaper set, for some reason, paid a higher rate.
Not all commsission salespeople suck, but lots do.
