Steve Salvas
The Jet 02-21-2006, 03:41 PM Steve, I'll be the first to request NO CHAMLIEON, it would be nice to allow ARCOR, or ROAR motors for 19 turn  .
Later, Bret
Racin Steve 02-21-2006, 03:47 PM I don't see a problem convincing the race organisation to go ROAR 19T ...
I'll bring it up this friday ...
Steve.
Fireball929 02-21-2006, 03:54 PM I can't wait. One of the biggest races in the northeast.
See ya there,
Fireball
The Jet 02-21-2006, 04:12 PM I don't see a problem convincing the race organisation to go ROAR 19T ...
I'll bring it up this friday ...
Steve.
Thanks,
I'll be there, and I bet I'll finish a race this year, LOL.

Al Spina Fan 02-21-2006, 08:05 PM Merci Monsieur
rckfracing 02-21-2006, 08:53 PM fill me in here..roar rules are what for 19t?? Adjustable timing? Any 19t motor hand wound but marked 19t and adjustable, I'm lost? HELP
RPRacing 02-21-2006, 09:05 PM For 19T oval ROAR rules are basically any approved modified motor combination (can, endbell, armature) with small stand up brushes, no P-94 style large brushes. More specifics can be found on the ROAR website. http://www.roarracing.com/
FWIW....I think the C2 is much better at keeping everyone honest, and far easier to tech.
Mr.fastman 02-21-2006, 09:21 PM OK I just found out that I can't read french, who knew. What is the race schedule, will the track be open for practice on the Friday before the race? For stock is it a handout or BYOHP. Are the battery's 3800 max? More questions to come.lol
Doug P
RPRacing 02-21-2006, 09:49 PM In years past GRCSR site will have info in english as the race nears, this should happen very soon...be patient. Track is usually open the Friday before. Stock and 19T are bring your own. My guess is batteries will be limited to 3800mah max. Like Steve said more info soon....
www.grcsr.com
i think for 19T we should keep the rules like it was...some local racer who own 19T will be able to run in this class without buying any 19T motors and still competitive.
Pace
The Jet 02-21-2006, 11:39 PM Pace,
If that's the case, I would have to buy new motors :freak: .
The Chamlieon is a dinosaur, and we NEED to grow the 19 turn class  . To run the other motors could draw more racers from everywhere.
Stock racers buy new motors constantly, because the HAVE to, so why not buy a 19 turn and start running the class more???
See you soon.
ovalmaster 02-21-2006, 11:49 PM This race will be awsome! All classes will be very competitive - limited stock, stock, 19-turn or 1/12 scale. Trying to predict winners will be tough.
It will be impossible to forcast who will win limited stock (Invitational class).
Look for the Salvas brothers, Steve Peake, Wade Bissonette, Steve Murray, Martin Paradis and Patrick Phillie in stock.
Todd Putnam, Pace Gendron and Steve and Eric Salvas will be very tough to beat in 19-turn.
Putnam has been very sucessful in 1/12 scale. Will newcomer Steve Peake upset him??
This race should not be missed. Sign up fast and make sure that you do not miss this one!
See you there,
Antonio
PS - any other predictions? Keep them coming!
Mr.fastman 02-22-2006, 12:38 AM Thanks for the info, I've heard lots of good things about this race.
What is the difference between Stock and Limited Stock?
Doug P
Tommygun43 02-22-2006, 01:03 AM I predict alot of people will drive better on saturday than sunday :freak:
Fireball929 02-22-2006, 07:54 AM Hey Tommygun is that because of church saturday night?
Butters16 02-22-2006, 12:08 PM Hey Tommy beware on the drive up to track of the ditch dwellers ,you never now when they will show up.
Tommygun43 02-22-2006, 12:33 PM Hey Tommygun is that because of church saturday night? Oh ya! That was scary butters! lol.
rhodopsine 02-22-2006, 12:59 PM Thanks for the info, I've heard lots of good things about this race.
What is the difference between Stock and Limited Stock?
Doug P
Doug,
Limited stock (we call it Sportsman) use closed endbell Mabuchi motors and 3300 mAh batteries. They're roughly 6 laps slower on 4 minutes.
Martin Paradis
mightymidget 02-22-2006, 01:00 PM I will be there for sure, this race is a must if you love r/c racing.

dave w 1 02-22-2006, 01:01 PM Looking Forward To This Race Cant Waite!
Todd Putnam 02-22-2006, 05:32 PM Best Carpet Oval race of the year I attend, hands down...
Parisano: Classes are a bring your own HP...and you don't have to worry about racing against any "marginal" nonsense motors up here, either...they tech EVERYTHING....no one will mysteriously pick up 1-2 laps here without getting teched.
A local here from NY tried running an illegal motor last year and was caught and bounced...rules are religion to the crew at St. Roch...best run Oval event I've ever attended.
They also offer a "pre-qualifier" which is a mock heat race. They seed the heats based on last years performance or your pre-qualifier, whichever you prefer. This way you won't get in a bad heat if you've never been there before.
ericsalvas 02-22-2006, 07:52 PM hey...doug...this way...if you come up north...i'll be able to show you how its done...the canadian way....i can drive this track eyes closed....i want a rematch!!!
Eric...still thinking about that snowbird final...........
Weapon 1 02-22-2006, 08:31 PM This is the Canadian Snowbirds 150 racerz easy.
Can't Missed this one even if the wife goes in Labour.
Outlaw 44 02-22-2006, 10:31 PM Won't miss this one that's for sure!
Just making the A main here is like a win.

Eric...still thinking about that snowbird final...........
Eric - I want a rematch too, just so you'll know I can drive better than that. I still owe you about a thousand apologies. Really looking forward to this race.
Todd - Its good to know about the thorough tech, not enough tracks take it seriously these days.

yep, put Parasano in that class, hehe
mhawk11 02-24-2006, 10:19 PM this race is waaaay better than snowbirds... you get to qualify in a time trial 4 minute run and they take your five fastest laps to determine wich heat you will be in.
at least that was the way it was when i was there.
Mr.fastman 02-25-2006, 02:56 AM yep, put Parasano in that class, hehe
Hey we could both run it. LOL
ericsalvas 02-25-2006, 09:38 AM at this race...you got a chance to prequalify...on saturday...there is controled 4 min race...wich can be use to determine your qualifying position if you never attended the race..
by the way...the carpet is 8 years old....and smooth as a pool table....yesterday i re-edit my track record...up to 59lap in 4:02.09...best lap was 3.89...this place is ssimply amazing
as far as 19t goes....after talking to gerry yesterday...we will accept two motors for the race...either c2(19t epic laydown brushes at 24 deg version c2)or ultrabird with no mods on them...those will be the only motor allowed...after practicing...both are fast...just have to roll out them corectly...

ovalmaster 02-25-2006, 12:39 PM Eric nice run. We are now seeing consistant 59 lap runs on a weekly basis. 2 weeks ago, I ran 59:00 twice in 1/12 scale.
I predict that the 60 lap barrier will be broken at this year's International.
Just imagine that I TQ'd the first 4 cell international with a 53:02 run and won it with a 55:03. Today, that run would put you in the last main.

Alan Behler 02-27-2006, 12:09 AM hey guys how about stock motor rules?
will the new c027 be legal?
alan behler
rhodopsine 02-27-2006, 09:39 AM Alan,
You can only use Trinity/Epic stock motor, but you can use any of them, even the 4 mags binary. And yes, the CO27 is accepted!
Martin Paradis
ericsalvas 02-27-2006, 01:48 PM hey Alan..didn't had the chance to tell it earlier...but congrats on your win at the birds!...it would be great to see you up north...to help you out...the setup is pretty close to what i use to TQ the snowbird.
Eric S
Alan Behler 02-27-2006, 10:10 PM thanks eric,

alan
ericsalvas 03-01-2006, 08:57 AM hey..everything work good...ihad the track record with a binary(4mags)..then reset it last friday...with the handout i had at the birds....with a diff roll-out...your able to be fast with any...just roll them corectly...
i'd say its approx 3 tooth less than the birds
Eric
ericsalvas 03-02-2006, 10:39 AM 1 month away....get your cars ready....
Eric S
Todd Putnam 03-02-2006, 11:33 AM My man La La Lou rests his record...Nice job!

1st qualifier at 16:30 on Saturday...
Steve.
erock1331 03-02-2006, 06:48 PM wow that is wierd they allow the quad can motor being the arm is short on the required wire length.
runnin that motor would be a no brainer
rhodopsine 03-02-2006, 07:16 PM Erock,
I suppose it should be that way, but most of my better motors are 2 mags. And just like Eric, the fastest I ran this year (about 1 sec short of track record) was with a Snowbird handout.
Martin Paradis
ericsalvas 03-02-2006, 11:11 PM what we found out erock...the rock...is a true setup track...and motor won't make much difference...just gear the motor right...and if handling is right on...you'll be fast...this is what racing should be...and what St-Roch is all about!!
wow that is wierd they allow the quad can motor being the arm is short on the required wire length.
runnin that motor would be a no brainer
erock1331 03-03-2006, 04:51 PM thats cause you northerners just dont know how to gear, lol
nah, just kiddn i see what you are sayin though, 95% of the time setup is gonna win.
a well oiled chassis with a legal motor is gonna beat a bad car with the quad can short stacker. but get a well oiled chassis with the illegal quad can short stacker and zoom zoom
N2RACN 03-03-2006, 07:19 PM anyone have a good starting point for a KSG 19t and possibly stock. any help would be greatly appreciated. with the ultabirds will we be able to run handout motors from another race or does it have to have the label? have a question for someone that has made the trip from the U.S. before. how hard is it to get back in the states for me and my 11 yr. old son? will i need anything special? heard nightmares of getting back. any truth at all. thanks
jeremy
