I am looking to pick up a 1/8th scale truck to replace one of my T-Maxxs. I have narrowed it down to a few choices. I plan to bash with friends and a little raceing. I would like your inputs on durability, spare parts avalibility, ease of motor tuning, and fun factor. I do not want to have to upgrade righ away, so the best overall package ie. servos, radio, etc. My choices are listed bellow. Thanks for your advise.

Associated MGT SE
GS Racing Storm SUT RTR
Sportwerks mayhem ST RTR
XTM Mammoth ST RTR
Ofna Jammin CRT RTR

mgt=pretty junkie, gs storm=even worse, mayhem buggies are very popular here, so the truggy should be good, xtm would be harder to get parts for, around here anyway, mail order only, once you get an ofna buggie, you will prob never be an ofna fan again, so i cannot comment on it, if you are comming out of a maxx, why not chose a savage ?? the savage x looks cool, seen one on person saturday, not running, i been a savage guy for about 4-5 years now, im not a big fan of hpi making 18 versions of the truck, but each is a little better !!

well i know it isnt in you selection but me and a couple of my friends have savages and mine isnt stock but NOT because i needed to change stuff on it, one of my friends is completely stock the other changed the air filter and as far as just bashing around which is what we do i love mine and tonnes of after market parts by many different componies. just a thoght  good luck on what ever you decide!

If you want a tough rtr truck i would go with the duratraxx warhead. my friend just got one and when he rolled it out of the box i thought i was going to be blinded for life :freak: MOST ALLUMINUM IV'E EVER SEEN STOCK. The thing cold probbably outlast anything. nothing to change on that thing. that is my opinion.

The first truck was good all around. This one has been tweaked and all of the fixed the minor defects with the first one no longer exist  Associated stands for excellence and this truck is no different. Live Die Associated :dude:

Most of us use Storm SUTs. Parts are cheap and they seem to last at least a couple of races. You really need a powerful engine like the Picco .27 or an RBWS7 II X3 since it's very heavy once assembled into truggy form.

why go 1/8th scale when u can get the new revo  . i'd wait on the 3.3's because you know how things are when they are new (a lot of flaws) i know some guys who got the new CO27 stock motors and they already fried the capicitors on the endbell by spraying the motor off. LOL, but i got a revo about 2 days ago and you have to do a few things to it, but then it'll fly like a mad man
