HEY GUYS THOUGHT this would be a good topic especially for the a main guys in stock what brush did you run?

The (2) fastest cars in the A-Main (imho) were running blue/green shunt combo: Salvas and Putnam.

Putnam Propulsion brushes and "Top Fuel" Comm Drops accomplished the following at the Snowbirds:

-Stock Sedan: TQ/Win

-Stock 1/12th GTP: TQ/Win

-1/10 Stock Oval: TQ

-Sprint Cars: TQ/Win

-19 turn Expert Touring: Win

...On a side note, my 1/10th Stock car was a missle all week. Never had a clean run in either qualifying or in the main, (mostly due to the fact of the guy holding the transmitter) but still made the A. Then I unlapped myself from the leader in the A Main and drove it all the way back to 4th. Thanks to Steve Salvas for the awesome voltage and the hot rod...
Eric Salvas, Chris Ulbrick were consistently the fastest cars all week, and maybe I could've been up there in qualifying had I been able to put a run together. :rolleyes:

The F brush took 8 of 10 in Stock sedan. Although they didnt TQ or win they were in the car that ran the fastest lap of the main and qualifiers as well.

I believe the F brush also won 4 cell stock and had 5 of 10 cars in the A along with the Winner of the B main (who ran faster than anyone in the A).

6 of 10 cars in 12th stock A main ran F brushes.

Not bad for a brush some say doesnt work!!

Putnam X brush in sportsman 19T qual 3rd had tq after 2 rounds

Putnam Blue green combo for stock. had pleanty of ponnies but as TP says "can't fire a cannon from a canoe"

Oh yah and of course TQ Cells provided the voltage

I had TQ for sportsman 19t after the first round used some silvers. Dave our Times were pretty close after 2 rounds.

yah Walter they sure were. can't wait till next year. I was in the very first qualifier this year. I spent alot of time missing wreck. next year is going to be so cool.

when you say silvers you mean the xxx brush?

i ran F brushes most of the week and had my fastest times with them

I haven't tried the f brush in a long time i know that they have several compound changes since then. may be I'll try it.

Yes, XXX brush. the first heat would have been my fastest but tried to avoid some Carnage in the first turn and got a pc of it. Hopefully next year I might try Expert. Need to drop some 4.2's and 4.1's to make an A in expert those guys were fast..........

In expert the top guys were ending w/ 4.1-4.2..... pulled 3.9s up front....i think even 1 or 2 3.8s. If i remember right.

more, the turns alone were 15 of my steps wide, my shoe is 10.5....

BTW...at the birds, in my 19 turn motors, I used some magical Reedy brush from G Honey. :thumbsup:

In stock I ran Putnam in one motor and F brush in the other, both motors were fast and car was good just need to keep the nose clean.

Walt for as little as I get to race carpet, sportsman is my home for a little longer. those expert boys have got it figured out.

Hats off to those fast 59 and 60 lap 19t turn guys.

i know bobby sherff ran the 620 brush to tq sportsman 19 and i think al won the 4 cell A main with the 602 brush.
