Hello everyone! I am new here and dont at all mean to step on anyone`s toes here.
I will be building an outdoor offroad rc track near the Lansing/Jackson area. It will be in a small town called Rives Junction, 8-10min north of Jackson and 15-20min south of Lansing.
The track will be more geared twards 1/8th scale trucks, buggies and truggies. The track will measure roughly 90 foot by 150 foot with lots of turns and jumps (big jumps)
I am looking for an opening date of June 1st
Wish me luck, Dave

Good luck with that Dave. I know there are quite a few guys, including myself, that are just aching for a place to run offroad under the sun in this area. Keep us posted on what's going on and location, race schedule and what not. I'm sure there are even a few people that would be more than willing to lend a hand with construction.

Ya the MGR series had a race in that area. It was in a city park, and the track sucked. It sounds like you will be putting together a quality track, good luck.
i have a few questions. are you planning to have a scoring system? on site food, electricty, what days do you plan to race and how often per month. im sure people will want to know before they get too serious about coming.

Yes I will have a scoring system but not right away. With the prices of a good scoring system and what it takes just to build a track, I cannot afford to buy one right away. I am doing this all out of my pocket.
As far as food goes, there is a party store/meat market right across the road (this is out in the country) from where the track will be, maybe later in the year ill have someting on site.
I am working on the electricty but as for now (at first) generators will have to be used.
As far as the scedule goes, it will have to be a saturday/sunday deal. I cant tell you exactly how many races there will be per month but right now im thinking every other weekend.
I work a very demanding full time job in Jackson but live in Onondaga. I drive by the location where the track will be twice a day (to and from work) so upkeep wont be a problem.
thanks for letting us know. i hope you can make it a sucsess. keep us posted on the progress, and pictures will help people know you are serious.
