just found this site, seems like a cool site for info, anyway we shal see, I have just purchased a snow blower from someone rather cheap, runs ok, problem is when you start it up it goes full throttle, doesn't matter where the throttle lever is, its either off, or wide open, any ideas?

Could be a governor issue. Check the external shaft and linkage for binding first.

if the linkage is ok and on right check the round shutter on the throttle shaft and make sure the screw didnt come out
