when i first visited this website (www.axxisracing.com) i was a little unsure of the ways he matches. i can tell you that it works
not saying that CE does not work but the foundation on it matches is 20 years old
before going to the snowbirds i got a pack to try out. this pack ran time for time with the packs i got for florida.

i think if you would try these packs you would not be dissappointed
but you should follow his guidelines

I ran these cells as well. Treated every pack the same and each pack is very close to being the same performance wise to each other. Consistant runs and awesome performance with every charge.

I've been running these cells for about a month and a half now and I can tell you they do perform,as good or better than anything out there. They have definitly helped me step it up a notch. There's no magic here, just a different way of doing things,I'm glad I was open minded enough to try these, cause they do perform on the track. These cells can't be tested on CE equipment, just charge'm and run'em,don't worry about the #'s game.

Although I do not run oval, I just wanted to stop in. I personally run for Axxis and have been very satisfied with the packs. Ever since I have had the packs, I have been doing consistantly better. Today I just finished 3rd in the A at an Orl(some of you may be familiar with this race) with packs that were 4 months old.

why cant they be tested on ce equipment? thats kinda silly ?

Dave,

The matching process is totally different, and although ce is the industry standard for matching,it doesn't compare for these cells.I haven't tried to cycle any on my GFX's and really don't care to try.As long as they perform on the track, that's all that really matters to me.No more cycling batteries = more good runs on the track. anyway.

I kinda thought the same thing as Dave.
Is the reason you dont cycle them is because the numbers will be lower using this new matching process? Or will it hurt the cells ?

I know Tony Carruba of Power Push uses a different matching/zapping method as well. He claims the same thing, to not listen to the cycle numbers.
But it wont hurt them to cycle.

Eric,

Honestly,I'm not sure? I'm thinking it's like Tony's deal, probably won't hurt but you won't be able to compare the #'s to anybody else,so why bother.

i just think ifsome one says dont cycle them there hiding some thing voltage is voltage runtime is runtime if you put his pack on your machine it should compare or eclipse other packs i never got a powerpush pack to even remotely look good on a gfx always high air and low voltage?

i to dont care what the lable says but im not running a pack that does not compare to everything else ive seen i dont care what they match them on

pepe
02-20-2006, 11:06 AM
Dave that's not necesarily true,no one is hiding anything,it's just a different process. So if you cycle'd them and they showed you low #'s you would say they were bad cells? then when you get outrun by them, how would you explain that? these cells are proving themselves on the track, they won the stock class at the birds, not much argument there.

let me tell ya a little some thing called ohms law voltage does not lie if the packs from matcher a are lower than matcher b no one that runs oval is putting matcher a s pack in there car.

oval guys are nuts on cycle numbers i just want to see for my self i will order a pack today i will pay to have it assembled by the man him self and test it on my machine and post back

ya and alan and hutkay and ulbrick could win with any packs so whats your point?

My point is these are top notch cells that's all.I don't care who you are you don't win any class at the birds with junk,it's the defining race.

I've been using these packs for about 4 months. They just keep on getting better. On my Integy charger, they just took in 4292mah. The punch that I get off the line is incredible. I will never run a battery from another company.

Ive spoke to Isaac several times and he seems like a very standup guy. He is just matching his cells using a different method than everyone else. Nothing wrong with that.

I do however think (from my almost 20 years experience in the hobby) that a pack that cycles bad on CE equipment will run bad as well and a good cycling pack will run good. Its all ohms law. Which none of the stuff I have tested from Axis has been bad....

I think what they are trying to say about not cycling them on the CE equipment is becasue the numbers it gives you will NOT compare to the numbers Axis uses for their matching and they dont want to get customers worried about it.

What I can say is I cycled 4 packs of 6 cells from Axis for someone at the birds and the Axis numbers were all very close on the packs. When I cycled them on the GFX all 4 packs cycled within 5 seconds of each other, all 4 packs had 12.3 AIR and the voltage was all within .01 of each other. So I would say that Isaac's method works well.

Alan you must be butter cause your on a roll man. He had us all covered on Sunday as set the TQ mark and cruise control button in the main for I have to say an easy win. He has picked up some nice sponsors and along with his hard work and track practice/racing has move him to the top of the food chain. I think he likes it there. Keep it up the good work.

I spoke with Isaac yesterday for about 45 minutes. He is getting ready to have hear surgery again. This will be the 2nd time in about 7 months!! He has been in the hospital 11 times so far this year each time spending several days there. So this is the reason he has been hard to get in touch with as he is the only person running the show over there.

Hopefully after his hear surgery everything will be back to normal. If anyone has any questions I will try to get them answered for you in his absense.
