ok, I'll bite. Who makes them and where did you find them? Details man, we need details. :)

They are made by Autoart. I didn't find them in a retail store here though, I had to special order them. The company is based in Australia. They make a bunch of the newer cars in 1:64 scale, but I wanted the Lamborghinis the most.

AA were supposed to come out some Mustang and Shelby cars as well, but its been a long time coming and I have yet to see them. I think they are around $8.

These ran me 7.99$ per car. I think they are worth it, they have the same detail as a 1:43 car, maybe better; plus, you get a cool display case for it. Here are some of the different cars:

PT Cruiser
BMW Z3
BMW Z8
Corvette C5
Honda S2000
Honda Type R
Lamborghini Murcielago
Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster
Lamborghini Gallardo
Mazda RX-8
Mercedes SLK
Mini Cooper
Mitsubishi Lancer Evo
Nissan Fairlady Z
Nissan Fairlady Z Roadster
Porsche 911
Subaru Impreza WRX
Volkswagon Beetle
Volkswagon Beetle RSI
Volkswagon Beetle Convertible

All of those cars come in different colors. I know there are a lot more than what I listed.

I love Autoart 1:64!! These are the ones I have so far:

Corvette C5
Honda S2000
Honda Type R (my favorite!)
Mazda RX-8
Mini Cooper
Mitsubishi Lancer Evo
Nissan Fairlady Z
Porsche 911
Subaru Impreza WRX

Well worth the money for the detail and plus they come with a display case.
I haven't bought the JL new Mustang and Ford GT castings because I am holding out for the Autoart versions...OH, and I think they are based in Hong Kong not down under, but they are marketed there. They also have some fantastic 1:43, 1:18 and 1:12 scale stuff that is out of my price and display/storage league...

If you like big detail on small cars, check out Biante! They are the same as Autoart but they do Australian cars like the Ford falcon XB coupe.
