hey Jim, it's been a while, have'nt seen ya since Kranzels about 5 years ago, gotta question, what sealer if any does George use on the track ?? i know you can run pinks and other rubber tires on the rear there, at Jack Conleys we run purples on the front, but run aquas, greens, greys, and some others on the rear, if we try rubber tires on the rear like pinks they just don't hook up, Jacks track is banked a little more than the Mill, it's paved with topcoat wearplate, it's pretty fine stuff and very smooth, so maybe that's why the pinks won't bite, not sure what sealer though, hope you don't mind me asking, thanks, Brad Whiteman.

I believe the mill puts soda down on the track to provide x-tra bite.

Hey Brad, how have you been? Eric is correct, we put down soda from a sprayer. WORKS Super well! Cheap too. We run 4 purples, or 3 purples and 2x Purple RF. Is there a website for Conleys?

no web site, once we get racing i'll get some pictures up, i think Eric posted a couple pics last year, it's a really fun track, "D" shaped tri-oval, i think the race groove is about 220, racing starts the saturday after mothers day, we'll have to pull some double duty and race Jacks on saturday and the Mill on Sunday, thanks for the info, Brad.

I know the ORL does not have a modified class, but modified at this track is a blast. Is anyone interested in running open modified at the July 29 ORL race? I'm planning on coming down, and will one way or another, but I would really like to run mod. Let me know, later.

I'm deffinately going, Given I can get my hands on a new KSG by then, lol. I have been out of commission for about a month because I sold the RIP car. I will be running 19 turn if there isn't a mod turnout, but I really want to run mod. I know Mario, and the Leihrs from Akron went last year. Maybe we can get pedro to tag along, and it's been awhile since Miller came out, maybe this year he will make it too. I don't know, we'll see.

Jamie, The Mill is always fun. I thought you lived in Michigan. If you now live in MD. you might also want to check out our track in Seaford Delaware. We have a big race coming up on the 24th of this month. Its located behind the Hobby Stop store.

If you need more info let me know.

I just moved here less than a week ago. Work brought me out this way. I found a place to run sedans 5 minutes from my place, but am looking for some oval. I figure Seaford is 3 hours or so from me. I am going to make that trip at some point. Is there a webpage for that track?

Jamie, howdy neighbor! You should be just about an hour and a half for here. Are you near the Colliseum?

Hope you can make it out Jamie, its a great place to race. (Seaford too)

Hope to see you there soon. The big class is stock,,actually we dont have a lot of racers there on a weekly basis but try the Seaford thread to see whats going on before you come over. The schedule alternates and would hate to see you come over and find out its the wrong day. The Mill is always fun and closer from what Jim said. See you soon

Jamie, throw your classic setup on, but put some red springs on all the way around and you will be dead nuts on. Watch out boys, if Jamie makes it, he is always fast at Classic. He pushed me across the line 2 years ago at the Fall Classic, 42 laps !!!

I am 5 minutes from the Colliseum. I just did a map quest and you are right. It states about 1h 25m. That works great for me. I will be in Seaford for the state race on the 24th, but plan on being here for the firecracker race. What do I need to bring? Power, extension cord, chairs, table?

Extension cords, table, chairs, If you have a generator take it, might not be a bad idea.

Track opens at 9 am. for the Firecracker race July 1st. racing starts at 3ish
On the 9th, track opens at 9 and racing at 12:30.

Jamie, awesome, glad to have you here, you will be amazed at the tight racing here! Atmosphere is second to none either.

Bring extension cord, light, table and chair, EZ up if you have it, and if not, we can hook you up under ours by the trailer. If you get under ours, table and chair would be all you need.

Any questions, shoot me a pm or ask here, I will help you anyway you need!

Well guys, here it goes, another track to the wayside.

It was a tough decision for George to make, but due to poor turnout, the Mill will be closed sunday after the Seaford race. We will be open July 1st. We will reopen July 23rd, and be open for the ORL race July 29th.

As a result of poor turnouts we will be closed from July 30th until the Sept. 3rd race.

I do hope that we can get a fairly large turnout for George's Sept. night race because that will be the LAST RACE at Willow Mill Speedway. George has made it through some tough years but the last several have been horrible for racer support.

If anything changes we will let everyone know.

Thanks to all that have been there over the years and we will look forward to racing with you guys at various tracks around the states.
