TVShowsonDVD say the release date of June 6th for the complete first season. They say around 40 bucks.
I know the show was corny and pretty dumb at times, but I enjoyed the hell of it.

It's about time!

There's a 'best of' single-disk. Honestly, the show was hysterical. a LOT of slapstick and classic comedy schtick. Even my wife laughed a lot.

I just watched "The Aristocrats". Larry Storch is still a funny guy at 82 and doesn't look much different.

So in 1957 Forrest Tucker is the gruff American in the British movie "The Abominable Snowman of the HImalayas"(Hammer) and then in 1958 he's the gruff American in the British "Trollenberg Terror(Crawling Eye)"(Not Hammer) - weird, huh?

I can't watch those movies without thinking of F-Troop. And waiting for Storch to pop up.

Several years back, I think it was some TV critics, that called F-Troop one of the worst shows in TV history.
Well, I haven't met anyone who would say that....now that being said someone here will most likely hate the show like a nasty ex-wife.
I think the one bit I liked best was one the Best of DVD when Wilton trip, fell and stumbled across the street and along the whole front of whatever building it was. I have remembered that ever since I saw it as a kid.

Kiss's Paul Stanley once said "Critics don't buy records" and I bet they don't buy DVD's either. I loved F Troop as a kid and you can bet this is on the must get list for me!

Does anyone remember Forest & Larry in that short lived Saturday morning show, "The Ghost Busters"? I think I remember a guy in a ape suit too named Kong.............

I think Tucker was Kong and the ape was Tracy.

And that ape was played by

Bob Burns

They showed some of those eps at WF last year.

What was the Sat morning show where they played a couple of cleaning guys at Nasa and someone said lunch and Storch launched the rocket with them still in it.

Am I confusing this with a Bob denver show????

My favorite F-Troop dialogue, between the troopers and the indians:

One of the troopers: "How did your tribe get its name?"

Chief: "One day whole tribe fall off edge of cliff, Chief say "HAAW-KOWEE!!""

I purchased a DVD at Best Buy not long ago that has about 5 or 6 episodes on it. I recently watched it again and have to say that the acting overall was really quite good, especially for the type of show it was. In fact, all the episodes on this DVD are great, with the exception of the one with Joe Besser as an Indian. His acting was really terrible in that episode. It was almost like they threw him in at the last minute. Really odd casting.

I'm starting to watch a lot of the older TV shows, now that they're releasing them on DVD and by and large, the writing AND the acting is oftentimes better than the sitcoms that are on TV today, at least in my opinion.

Thanks for the heads up on F-Troop. I will be buying it and can't wait to watch each episode. Forrest Tucker, Larry Storch and the rest - they did a great job on that show.

I forget which episode but Forrest needs the indians to attack the Fort.

The Chief says "do you want the $50 attack or the $25 dollar attack, for 50 dollars we use fake blood and play dead.)
The show always has some funny stuff in it.
I still watch it on cable, I think its the American channel.
