I am not sure if everybody here has heard but I thought I would post this:

"I'd never met him, but his posts in the many distribution lists were always humorous, helpful and good natured. It was obvious that he was a true hobby-sport enthusiast and loved by many. The following is a post from Kevin Chesney, taken from the HO DL:

Fellow slotters, modelers and friends.
With tears in my eyes as I type this, we have have lost a very dear friend. His sister wrote the following. Please pray him and his family. Please, those of you that know him from other lists, please pass this on.

Yesterday afternoon, my brother died suddenly, of an apparent heart attack. After having a successful morning at work, he was working the rest of the day from home. Sarah went out for about an hour to pick up Zak from day care, returned home to find him leaned over onto his computer, without a pulse. The EMT's and hospital did all they could to revive him, but as you know, his was not a very healthy body. I have created this web page in his honor:

http://www.faeriedust.com/jjj/jjj.htm (http://www.faeriedust.com/jjj/jjj.htm)

Please keep his family in your prayers.
Love,
Jennifer

This is JJ's slot website:

Make a little extra room in your hearts tonite. Godspeed."

This came from the Scaleracers website, but I also saw the actual post in the HO DL. I know my heart was saddened when I read this.

Right! Bless them all, real good.

Jeff, thank you for the news. I did not know JJ but often enjoyed his slot car site. I am sure he will be dearly missed.

Jeff- That is really a shame. I didn't know him, but his slot car history on his web page was much like mine. Only 40 years old, too. Best wishes for his wife and Zak his son.

I talked to him sometimes back and forth on the Yahoo HO World message board. I always enjoyed his responses to some of the more controversial topics. He always managed to speak his mind without being inflammatory.

You guys may not realize it, but he actually posted here a few times as JJ2112...
