Just picked up two (used) Tekin chargers (BC100 and BC100L). What power supply do y'all recommend for powering these? Gonna be running some 4-cell (1600/1700mAh) Legends racing; what amperage do y'all recommend for charging these things? I've also been told that they need a 10W resistor for charging the 4-cells; does this just go between the positive and negative charge leads? Can I solder the resistor inside the charger between the two leads? How 'bout discharging? The packs are "stick" type sealed packs. I'm just getting back into racing these things; it's been about six years :)

'Preciate all the help! Thanks!

Just aim a fan at the heat sinks. They will get H_H_HOT charging 4 cell pack.

I have a 100L that is from about 1990, and it still works fine.

Charge those packs at 5-6 amps, don't think you need any kind of resistor.A fan on the heat sink probaly wouldn't be a bad idea.

The resister they are refferring to is a ceramic power resistor, approx 2-3 inches long with am alligator clip on one end and a place to clip your pos charging lead on the other end. it just goes in-line on one of the charging leads. It will get HOT, i have the scars to prove it! Dont try to use a conventional surface mount or through hole res. Hope this helps.
