This Yat Ming Dodge Charger probably dates from the very late 1970s. The TV show "Dukes of Hazzard" had become popular, and every toy maker, it seems, wanted to issue its own version of something that resembled the "General Lee." I paid a quarter for it, and it has opening doors and a metal base plate.

Very nice Yatming casting - I have this also.

Would have been much nicer without the stupid graphics.

Interesting question: Who's idea were the graphics you think? That the Chinese love these sort of garish graphics it seems on anything, but that these cars were also aimed at the dollar concious parent looking for cheap substitutes for more expensive diecast for kids, the graphics then become more befitting a product.

Also many of the colors Yatming chose for their cars do not do these justice, especially this Dodge.

I HATE ALL ORANGE CHARGERS - I do not apologise.

A darker green or a medium gold color (without the awful tampos!) would have made this a cult diecast classic.

The way I see it is those graphics are there to make them look like generic race cars?
