This is probably 1:24 pro level stuff. Nothing in HO comes close to the $$$ spent racing the large scale cars at a competitive level. A 1:24 slot car motor can run as much as a complete HO unlimited car. If you're looking for a racing thrill in a small space and on a budget, HO will not disappoint.

Cool tool, but I surely couldn't justify it.

As is, I'm trying to decide what kind of tools I should get for sevicing my HO cars. I guess the first thing I need to tackle are those jumpy, bumby JLXTs. I'm looking at a few pullers & presses that I found on some of the links from you guys.

Anyone have any recomendations or critisizms of any of the different tools that are available?

Where do you guys get your wheel kits & axles?

I don't mind spending a few bucks more for better quality & more versatile tools.

It would be cool to not only make some of these JLXTs & TOs run & handle better, but maybe change the looks on a few of them too.

A wheel and gear press/puller is a must. I have the ones sold by Lucky Bobs and I'm very satified with them.

I also have a gear puller sold by JWs for pulling pinions off pancake arms. I like it. All of the tools sold by JWs are great quality. The same can be said for RT HO Racing Products. JAG carries both lines.

I was disappointed by the press/pullers from BSRT.
