hey guys,
I have several questions I hope you can help me with. One do any of you have the collari .32 engine and if you do how easy is it to tune and does it stay tuned. Second what are some tmaxx diffs that would hold up to the power of a .32. Third what is a good tmaxx .21 convertion kit. Fourth is the G3 racing suspension a good one. Fifth is a three speed tranny a good upgrade. Lastly would I need to upgrade the sevos for any of this stuff.
This is all for a tmaxx and I would appreciate it if you tell me what to replace any of the parts with if they are not good.
thank in advanced.

sounds like you need a savage to handle all you want to do !!

to be truthfull after everything you will end up with a basher also. for the amount of money you just mentioned you could get a nice lsp, crt, mugen truggy.
hey i have my t maxx sitting right next to me and i have been trying to compete with this thing for ever. after all the modds you had mentioned you would still have to overdrive the truck just to keep pace with a truggy.
i have a good story to back this up if you would like proff.

Truth is for racing unless it is a very large track my truck gets faster laptimes with the single speed tranny. I know the 3-speed adds a good bit of weight over the two speed.
You have to do a whole lot of drive train upgrades to put any engine bigger than a .18 in a Maxx. If you want a big block racer get either a truggy or a Revo with the big block conversion kit.
The Maxx is a great truck it just wanst ment for that much power and it was really the first truck in its class and many more advanced trucks have come out since.

What I did was kept the 2 speed transmission, but installed the foward only kit. It takes out some gears in the gearbox, making it easier for the engine to turn. I don't know if I would go with an engine over a .21. Check into a nice OS.18 it would be less stress on your drivtrain, but it'll give you all the speed you need for racing.

thanks guys I think I will do that. should I upgrade any drivetrain parts and if i do what are the best parts that will handle the OS.18. Also is the .18 easy to tune and does it stay tuned. aproximatly how fast will a t go with an .18

I own a tmaxx with a Hardcore Racing 21 conversion kit. I chose to use a modified Picco 26 engine and it did eat about two rear ends. I went to the Maximizer Products billet aluminum rear end and the Maximizer Products limited slip front end. I good single speed conversion kit is available from Unlimited Engineering or even traxxas. The three speed is a bad idea because of weight and complexity. The only other parts that I added to my tmaxx is RPM nylon supension arms and MIP drive shafts. You can up grade your transmission with steel or aluminum gears from either Robinson Racing or MIP. The real key to performance with a tmaxx is getting the Power Stroke shocks from Pro-Line - otherwise you won't be able to keep it on the track.

just so you know the 3 speed will only increase acceleration, if you have the same final gear as before. my good friend had a tc with a two speed and i hade the same engine but one tooth higher pinion and i beat him in top speed but he smoked me off the line by alot, so they sorta help.

well get rid of the maxx , get a revo 3.3 , throw the engin away , go rpm a-arms , rpm rims with off sets , then bow-tie mts , go 2 speed FOC , get single survoe upgrade , tekno wing mount and mugen wing, tsais twin exhaust , and finaly sirio 23 , nothing else needed , thats it , it will beat any savage in a real 30 minet main , and thats it , there is not a savage that can keep up with it. e-mail me and see my revo
