ok with only 3 months to go until the 2006 focar season I wanted to take a moment to fill everyone in on what is happening.
almost all the votes are back in for the 2006 ballot I have a few members left who should be returning there ballots back this weekend!
the schedule is being worked on and should be hammered out right after the snowbirds.
most of the 2005 sponsors are back for 2006 and we have added a huge sponsor for 2006....RC4LESS has come on board and has donated those orange tires we all love. I have the tires for the raffle in hand, Bruce is the man!
I do not want to post a tentative schedule at this time, I want to try and get those dates set in stone as best I can before posting. all six tracks from last year will be on the schedule for 2006! I am trying my best to make all race dates the 3rd Saturday of the month. the exceptions to that rule will be superior hobbies and Strickland r/c park those dates will be the first Saturday and second Saturday respectively. MTR SPEEDWAY WILL BE HOSTING RACE NUMBER ONE AND SPEEDLINE HOBBIES WILL BE HOSTING RACE 6 . Joe and I are working on some things like a special sprint car challenge race at race number six and maybe some sprint cars(full size) to have on display as well.
thank you all for your patience with the name plates, I am going to be picking them up tomorrow and I will have them with me in Orlando. I WILL BE RACING THE SNOWBIRDS MONDAY THRU SUNDAY NEXT WEEK.......I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO RESPOND TO EMAILS OR MESSAGES ON THE NET UNTIL I GET BACK. good luck to those members attending the worlds largest r/c car race and I look forward to a great 2006 oval season!
TO HOBBIES IS NOW UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP AND MONDAY THE TRACK GETS A NEW FACE LIFT! THAT SEALED SURFACE WILL BE GONE AND REPLACED WITH A TYPICAL PAVED TRACK SURFACE. NO MORE VHT!!!! the new owner loves oval racing and will be holding regular monthly oval races! that's it for now see you all at da birds
