Hi All,
I'm starting this thread to let you guys know about some of the items that I have. The most popular thing for oval has been the TiCN coated VCS style shock shafts. They're diamond polished and the piston has been remachined and diamond polished too.

More to come...

Other popular items are TiCN coated 1/12 kingpins and new "acetal" motor shims. The motor shims are a composite material that is .126" ID X .18" OD x .014" thick. They are the ultimate shim for stock motors. They also work great for shimming kingpins. They're 1/4 the weight of stainless.

A new item that just arrived... Oversized hingepins for Assoc. front suspensions. They are .0008" larger diameter and made of hardened tool steel. Diamond polished and ready to install. When your upper a-arm starts to get some play, just slide these and and keep running!! I also have .005" thick stainless shims to take play out of the upper a-arm. When the teflon washers start to smash down, put a shim in and take the play out. They are .09" ID X .175" OD X .005" thick. And if you're looking to balancing your 1/12 or 1/10 tires. Onroad or offroad, I have precut lead balancing tape. It's 1/2" wide by 1.45" length.

Wayne,

VERY nice stuff, thank you.
One question about the .014 shims, have you had them in a motor that got hot, and how'd they hold up???

PS. All my pistons are within .0005, nice

Hey Jet,
Hope everything works for you! The hottest I ever got a motor (stock) was about 135 degrees. I have had some smash if I had to put 4 or 5 on the same side and the arm wasn't balanced well. I like to use them 2 on a side max. Usually, with most stock motors, 2 on the bottom, then leave the phenolic washer by the com. and add 2 of these, puts you pretty close.
Hope this helps!!
Wayne

P.S. 50 more pairs of shock shafts just went to the machinists :)

Wayne,
Ive been runing the shock pistons and motor shims at the birds this week, both work great!!. The motor shims hold up much better than any other teflon type shims I've used before, no distortion etc... I'll be ordering more to put in the tool box. Thx

Hey Tom,
Glad things are working out for you. Good luck at the snowbirds!! That's why I decided to sell those shims!! Lasted longer and just as smooth as the teflon, plus they can be used on the kingpins and axles :)

I had alot of requests for bulk supplies of the acetal shims, so I'm gonna have them packaged in quantities of 200 now :)

Hey Tom,
$24.95 for 200 pcs. That's a good savings from buying 10 packs at $3.95 each.

Wayne, Do you have the shims in different thickness other than .014?

Thanks

Hey RC,
At this time just .014". I just asked the manufacture if he can do other thicknesses. .014" was the material he had in stock. I'd like to get some thinner and thicker if possible. I'll know more by Wednesday.
Thanks,
Wayne

Hey RC,
I just got a reply. The current shims are .015 +/-.001 When I checked some they were all .014. I can get .010 +/-.001 I can also get .005 +/- .001 (special order, may cost more). What sizes would you like to see?

Those three sizes would be great, the .015 actually works out quite well as it seems to be pretty close to the shim on most stockers from the factory on the gear side. I used .005 metal shims inside of yours so no matter what how much shim total was needed the acetal was the one in contact with the bushing. I think that is of most importance. After several runs there was no visible mark on the bushing at all, good sign to me.

Hey Guys,
It looks like .010" +/-.001" and .015" +/-.001" are no problem, the .005" is a problem. The manufacture is afraid of distortion and burrs going that thin. They did say they can do .025" +/-.001" Any interest in that size??
Shock shafts are in and ready :)

Thanks,
Wayne

Hey Jet,
I agree with you. I was thinking they would work well on the commutator side and on kingpins to get rid of a pile of thinner ones. I'm gonna need to reorder the .015" +/-.001", so I might as well order the .010" +/-.001" and .025" +/-.001" then :)

I currently use .020 aluminum along with the .015 acetyl, I think .025 will hit the sweet spot  .

You know my standard order ;) .

Keep us informed.

Hey Eric,
Things went well there!! I was TQ and won the A-main by 7 seconds. The CRC T-fource handled well all day and the Team Scream cells and motors were rocket!! Thanks to all my sponsors :)

Another note, the .010", .015", and .025" shims are on order. It will be approx. 3 to 4 weeks before the .025" shims are here, some .010" will be here in 2 weeks the rest in 4 weeks. I still have some .015" in stock.

Thanks,
Wayne

One other thing... I'll have some samples of the 1/10 long front kingpins in that are TiCN coated. I've got them for 1/12 and have run the same pair for a full season with no signs of wear and are 100x's smoother!!

SG1, order in the mail. Am also intertested in 12th scale king pin and have been questioned by my traveling companions about what other products you offer. A product list, perhaps on this thread might be a great help to us way down here in FLA. Perhap a whole new customer base!
