First off Id just like to say hi I am new.

I have a ?? for yall I have an 8hp olded briggs it has a brearing on the pto side of the case and a crank that has thread on the out side . what would such an engine be used for

vertical? rear engine snappers used em i beleive.

havn't seen hardly any like that, just regular mower engines.

I have a Troybilt tiller with a Briggs 8hp horizontal engine. I don't know if it is similar to the one you have.

is this an exterior bearing with threds on the bearing itself or are the threds on the shaft .. this moter was probly on generater, or welding machine or presure washer or air compresser
