Whats the Spec 10 Scale is that pan car like ARCOR 4c Spec??????? If so Im intersted.......
Spoof Daddy: LEGENDS ARE BACK!! One of the most fun classes in R/C-dom. Allen and ARCOR have been planning this race since last year. If you want a National Title to secure a sponsorship, this race won't do it. If you want to go to a race, based purely on fun, then this is it!! If you win your "title" and $1.00 (plus tax) will buy you a double cheeseburger at Mickey Dee's
1. As per ARCOR Rules: The Legends "stock" is the regular every day Legends class. 4C Spec packs, Spec motors, "R" or "F" brush, any motor springs. Gears: 48P 81T spur, track option for the pinion.
The following classes are not exactly ARCOR classes, but these rules will apply:
2. 6C Pro: 6C Spec batteries, Spec motor, any brushes-springs, open gear.
3. Pro-Mod: 4C 3300's or less, Spec motor, any brushes-springs, open gear.
4. Super Mod: ARCOR 19T, 4C 3300s or less, any brush-spring, open gear.
5. Legends 6C Breakout: Optional
6. Spec 1/10th Scale: Optional and per ARCOR rules: 4C Spec batteries, Spec motor, "R' or "F" brushes-any spring.
ALL CLASSES: No timed brush cuts and open foam tires. All cars will be teched at random, plus the TQ and Track record cars.
If you can't find a place to run your Legends in this lineup then I would say..I don't know what I'd say...HAHA All we want to see (Greeneville R/C and ARCOR), is one of the biggest FUN Legends race of all time!! As a majority, we all run the pan car classes, this race is for racers with Legends cars to come out and have a barrel of fun. Something that many of us have forgot.:( If this race turns out as we hope it will, Greeneville R/C will become the permanent home of the best Legends Race in the country!! Does ARCOR care about promoting LEGENDS? Yes, but only as a fun class. Unfortunately, this is what R/C racing needs a plain down and dirty FUN CLASS!!! Remember, with ARCOR: Rule #1..HAVE FUN!!!!
What classes will be ran will depend a lot on Pre-entries?? Allan was under the assumption (from racers) that several 4C Spec Racers would be at his Snowbirds Warmup race. He bought plaques for the class and it was 100% NO SHOW!! He bought awards for a class that no one ran.
Support for a track goes further than buying your parts from them, it also goes to the classes the track buys awards for. While ARCOR's main rule is #1 Have Fun! it's no fun for a track to buy awards for a class that isn't ran, or for a class that isn't filled. Just a simple pre-entry is all that is asked for. With a pre-entry you get a reduced rate, the track basically knows what to expect and I don't' know of one track that won't refund a pre-entry, with a reasonable excuse. If you pre-enter and don't show with no notification, then it's just plain and simple..TUFF LUCK!
latemodel100 02-02-2006, 07:22 PM I may have to get a legends just for this, thinking............................
Rickity Racer 02-02-2006, 10:57 PM latemodel100: Try Ebay, search Bolink.
Just noticed...the Special Race on Friday night is a "Twinny Twin Twin" race, (orginated at Classic Hobbies last year). The race will be two 150 lap races, with 30min. between each race. Also it will run as many in a heat as we have transponders (personal and track) for. It's a BLAST!!!
Also here's a plain vanilla flyer for the race..
Rupert 02-08-2006, 11:28 PM sounds fun

Allan A 03-08-2006, 02:56 PM keep them coming
It is with great regret that we have to postpone the Legends Nationals until further notice.
In talking to Allan, in regard to the pre-entries and the "committed", but not pre-entered, we have both agreed that it would be best at this time to cancel the upcoming race until further notice. For those that have pre-entered, your entry fee will be refunded.
When this race was originally planned, fall of 2004, Legends were still being ran, there were no parts problem, new kits could still be found etc., etc....in the interium, we all know the Legends story. Promises, promises, promises. Promise of parts, kits, support, the whole schmere. I was told July of 2004, it would be about 6 wks. before parts were available and 8-12 weeks before full kits would be available. It's been almost two years since that wee morning conversation. Since then we have seen/heard that kits are now available.??
If so, it will take awhile for Legends to build back to what we all knew it to be.
Unfortunatly, all of this is just a little "tardy" to plan a Legends Nationals that we (Allan and I) invisioned October, 2004. That was the year that Allan opened Greeneville R/C Speedway. When Allan opened he had Legend racers each week. This carpet season (2005-06) almost nil.
For those that pre-entered, keep the faith. Legends are one of the most fun classes in our hobby. Your support and love of this class is what will inspire others to join in the fun.
Allan A 03-11-2006, 12:03 AM I Have Spoke With Several Racers Who Are Still Coming To Run On March The 18. But We Will Run As A Weekly Program Instead Of The Nats. Many Of The Out Of State Racers Are Still Coming.
I Greatly Appreciate All The Support I Have Gotten On This Matter. I Am Sorry For Any Incovience This Has Caused.
Thank
Allan A
