JeepGuyNJ 02-01-2006, 10:14 PM Do you have to race Friday AND Sunday? I think I wan to make it, but I can only do Sundays. And what are the costs for racing there? Do I have to be a ROAR member?
IcpJuggalo 02-01-2006, 10:17 PM YES! buggies are 19t as well
fixed endbells only.
Barnstormers is located in Chester NY only 45 minutes from NY City
If your new to the area and race off-road come give us a try.Still
one of only a few tracks that offer a novice/beginner class
Mini's are welcome! :)
JeepGuyNJ 02-01-2006, 10:22 PM So I should be fine running my dirtrunners 19t motor then. Is there power in the pit areas?
IcpJuggalo 02-02-2006, 10:11 AM What's up?
Friday and sunday are totally separate point series.
So it would be fine to just run on sunday.
Fridays are usually stock motor night and just decided to give 19t
motors a try.
Sundays are open class run any motor. The dirtrunner 19t should be
more than enough power for the indoor track.
We run 2 heats and mains on friday
3 heats and mains on sunday
Just to let you know how many batteries are needed.
We do run Roar rules but membership is not required.

IcpJuggalo 02-02-2006, 10:13 AM also yes there is plenty of electric pit spaces
IcpJuggalo 02-02-2006, 09:54 PM $15 first class $10 for second........
ta_man 02-02-2006, 10:56 PM The dirtrunner 19t should be more than enough power for the indoor track.
I am going to guess that when you said "fixed endbell motors only" (in a previous post) you meant fixed timing (like a Chameleon). The dirtrunner 19T motor is the Ultrabird and has adjustable timing.
IcpJuggalo 02-04-2006, 11:55 PM yes. the plastic end of the motor is known as the endbell as in fixed endbell like the Chameleon.
JeepGuyNJ 02-05-2006, 05:46 PM Had a great time racing at barnstormers today. I'll be back next Sunday!!!
Everyone there was so nice and helpful...made me feel just at home.
IcpJuggalo 02-06-2006, 12:15 AM Glad to hear you had a nice time. Next week the routine will be back to a normal sunday. Superbowl over. 3 heats and mains.
Congrates to the Steelers and all who bet on them.
IcpJuggalo 02-07-2006, 07:24 PM First week gone without a hitch.

JeepGuyNJ 02-11-2006, 04:53 PM Are you guys still going to open tomorrow if we get snow?
IcpJuggalo 02-11-2006, 07:24 PM Yes. If the roads are passable enough we will be there.
Sam and Herman will probably be running the show.

Would it be OK if someone just listened? I'd like to come up to race at the barn some time. Could you give me all the gory details on some good setups for buggy and truck for 19T and mod? Like what tires work best, what gearing/rollout people use for the 19T classes and what winds people run for the mod classes?
IcpJuggalo 03-15-2006, 09:36 AM sure
basic tire setup buggy: Front-Losi 7202p sanded down
Rear - Proline Holeshots or square fuzzies
when the track is a little too damp the holeshots work better. As it dries out the square fuzzies work the best. If you're really good on thr throttle losi taper pins are the choice when it's dry.
Pretty much the same tire choice for truck also. except for losi directionals on the front.
As for all the camber locations and all. Just come on up and take a look at the cars and trucks running. It would be easier to look than to type it all out.
Friday nites are 19 turn so if your only coming sundays you can run anything
truck 19 turn we're running between 17 and 19 pinion
buggy 19 turn we're running 20 to 22 pinion
Some people are running between a 16 double and 19 singles for mod.
anything else I believe would be too much. Me personally I run a good stock motor in buggy. A good tuned 19 in my truck to make the big jump.
ta_man 03-15-2006, 12:16 PM Thank you.
What is a "sanded down" front tire? Do you just take the edges off or something more elaborate?
IcpJuggalo 03-15-2006, 01:10 PM I take a dremel with a sanding drum to make a new tire to allmost a bald tire.
It gives the tire a larger contact patch with the track surface for more steering. It's allmost like using a pre-scrubed tire but you control how much rubber to take off.
IcpJuggalo 03-15-2006, 01:11 PM If you don't want to do this losi tire # 7206p will work allmost as well.
kp1307 03-15-2006, 05:24 PM Sorry to hear you you broke you're wrist, did it happen at work? bad break or fracture?
IcpJuggalo 03-15-2006, 05:28 PM just got back from doctor. Thank god it's not broken. I did rip a tendon out of place
though.Hurts like a MF. thats not Matt Francis.

ta_man 05-08-2006, 11:37 PM What class(s)/Motors are being run Friday and is in indoors or outdoors? What time does it start?
IcpJuggalo 05-09-2006, 07:53 PM no problems some things are just more important than toys. At least it was a warm day.
TA_MAN during the summer we run outdoors on the big track. For electric there is no motor limit. But we usually don't get much electric. Everyone likes the nitro. Friday opens at 5:30pm till done. sundays open 9:30am till done
if you have nitro come on up when DR has an off weekend on sunday.
If it rains we run electric indoors
IcpJuggalo 05-09-2006, 07:56 PM and I just checked barnstormers web site. we are running this sunday!

No nitro. So does that mean I shouldn't bother making the trip?
IcpJuggalo 05-10-2006, 07:56 PM it just means you should get a nitro vehicle. J/K
