View Full Version : Victory R/C is coming Green Bay
Victory R/C is coming to the North West side of Green Bay
Victory R/C will be racing both Carpet On Road and Oval racing on there 80'
by 36' CRC rubber backed ozite racing surface. There will also be Off-Road racing
on a 55'x35' indoor dirt track. Both tracks will have AMBrc Scoring and house transponders will
be available for those who do not have personal transponders.
A building has been purchased with approx. 15,000 sq ft dedicated to these two indoor race tracks, and a fully stocked Hobbyshop. There is plenty of parking for everyone. Some future plans include a large out door off-road area and possibly a outdoor road course.
Construction begins this week and plans are to be carpet racing ASAP.
The work for the Off-Road track is to begin after the
completion of the Carpet Area.
Stay tuned for more updates as the Grand Opening gets closer
Just came back from the hobby shop.
Phase 1 demolintion was finished yesterday.
Phase 1 construction has been taken place and is moving along really nicely
areas are framed and drywall and electrical installation as been started.
Tile from the floor is being cleared today for the carpet to be layed out prob early next week. so far the floor looks wonderful not raises or bumps in the areas I saw, so carpet should be flat and fast. The 30'ft long driverstand construction should start in the next day or to along with track walls.
i would have taken pictures but fotgot my camera at home
Well a decision was made. Due to the my e-mail box being hammered with requests for it. Current plans for the inside dirt is for us to bring Dirt oval back to the area. This was HIGHLY popular in the early 90's and was not unusual for there to be 40 to 50 guys on the small track we had back then
Current discusion is to have a 60 x40 D shaped oval, banked and as smooth and as fast as we can make it. Classes have not been discussed because we are working like crazy to finish phase I of the hobbyshop and carpet area. But we are planning to make this track smooth enough for foam tires.
Just guessing, but I think some of the classes could be (Stock/mod brushless)
ideas only off my head to not take as 100% yet
4 wheel drive- Touring car with a latemodel wedge body and side dam
2 wheel direct drive - custom works cars ( these things fly)
2 wheel gearbox class
2 wheel sprint cars (gearbox)
2 wheel sprint direct drive
1/18 scale cars ( rules would be well laid out)
Off-road (gearbox) trucks Not converted 2 wheel direct drive cars
Off-road will be outdoors
If you are interested in Dirt oval. Feel free to post any idea you may have on the subject. All idea will be considered, but will be left to the race director as to class rules.
burbs 02-21-2006, 11:57 AM make sure you get georgia red clay.. that stuff shines like glass when it is packed and prepped... oooh rahhh.. another DO...sweet idea... looks like there will be an indoor, and an out door this summer down here...
I lived in Georgia where the state motto is " the state of confusion" and they play both kinds of music country and western. For 2 of the longest years of my life :freak:
I lived in Marquette where the snow is deep, and spring and summer is 2 days combined:p Was there four looong winters.
Dirt oval is happening in Georgia too:thumbsup: check this out Red clay is the best

Thanks
The sign on the building says "Total rental" (gotta get that changed yet) but the road sign does have "Victory R/C" on it
I typed the adress in mapquest and it showed the correct location :)
The address is
705 N. Military ave
Green Bay, wi (duh) 54303
phone is 884-7300
Guys we are going to have a new spec class for the newbie to oval or road course. This car looks very, very solid and would be a excellent second class or starter class for those who want to try road or oval racing.
This class is spec car and spec tires only. the only hop up allowed is the new associated front end. Other wise it will be a 4-cell on-road/oval car with a EDM body, running BSR Spec tires only. the batteries must be in the stock position. This car looks to be a lot of fun. any road legal stock motor & roar legal limit on cells will be fine. NO spec electronics as we want thoses who decide to move on to be able to use the equipment the already have.
I don't have the price yet on the car but will be glad to see some new faces in the shop instead of the ugly mugs that are there now

Hey Barooose.... are you goin' this Saturday??

Barooose 03-28-2006, 03:03 PM Mmm, donuts.............. I would like to make the trek up north. I will have to check with the boss. If I do it will probably be for stock or maybe even 19turn. Brushless speedo is making it's way back to manufacturer for repair.
THIS IS PRACTICE AND SOME PRACTICE RACES TO HELP US GET THE BUGS WORKED OUT OF THE SYSTEM. Just want to make sure everyone knows that. Unless all are there are willing to cut me some slack? Please? pretty please? come on give me a break it's new software I've not used before, I've done autoscore before but not rcscoring pro.

about 5pm I guess. after hours maybe a couple trophies could be talked over :)
last night was kind of fun to watch some road course guys get out there and put some traction in. Tonight we will put the ice down after road course and have the oval ready for practice tomorrow night. i won't be there being a BIG Green Bay Blizzard footbal fan. so I'll be at the game.
saturday morning I should be at the track by 7:45
Hey guys got some new information last night.
Until all constructin is done they are going to open at 4pm so they can get stuff done during ther day. eventually the hours will be as posted before.
Race Fee: $8.00 for first class $3.00 for the second and practice nights are free.
Last night the track is showing sign of breaking in and traction was on the rise. Tonight there is practice and possibly some practice ROAD races. Seems as if we cured a couple of scoring problems last night. which is why we do these test nights

burbs 03-30-2006, 04:10 PM wow you guys need to raise your race fees... Thats way to low.. You dont need it that low we dont mind helping support the track.. at least 10 bucks ...
Seeems the standard across the US is 15 now..
Nope we don't need to, We don't want to, and I hope we don't in the future either
Plus then you guys get a couple of buck to spend at the Bean!
ACTUALLY I'm really glad we can offer racing at this low of price. With gas prices you guys spend enough on driving up and eating. Let me say it's Victory's small way of sayign "hey! thanks for coming out today"
burbs 03-30-2006, 04:32 PM cool....
Ahhh... Trophies... The best part of racing!

Maybe their doing it so you have no reason not to race, intead of the excuse "I can't afford entry fee"????
Thanks road guys for last night I have to admitt i was fun to watch you guys get around the track and the lap times are coming down. For the most part saw some low 11's and couple of high 10 but I think that will come down. Excited to see the oval guys tomorrow. I think they will be turning 4.5 second laps
anyway the groove for you road guys is coming in real good you can tell after we put the oval in last night and I hopping it helps get traction up quickly saturday
the rc tech thread has some updated pictures my camera does take small enought photos  link to pics (http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthread.php?t=100030&page=4)
