I hate posting these kinds of threads because it feels like a tease. I'm thinking of selling my Clod Buster and I'd like to hear what you think I'd get for it. It's a original Clod I bought new when they first came out. I'm running a Traxxas TQ3 radio, stock 540's and stock speed control (mechanical). I've done an Sassy Chassis aluminum chassis, oil shocks, wheelie bar, aluminum skid plates, Futaba 3903 high torque metal gear servo (119 oz) 2 sets of Clod D-cell battery packs in ok shape, and a sedan delivery body. I've probably got some misc parts and another set of rims (4) dyed black with 2 or three tires(stock).
The truck's in good running condition except for the L Bracket that mounts from the rear gearbox to the control arm. (minor fix or fab)
Let me know what you think.

Not to pop a bubble but you might be looking at $150-$175. The axles sell for around $100, the batteries are pretty worthless as is the speed control and the radio (for those that like Clods enough to be buying). The Sassy might bring some interest. The two places you m ight try to sell it, or ask this question again are RCMT.com and Clodtalk.com. Unfortunately you have to jump through hoops to get onto RCMT at all but it is easy to ask stuff on Clodtalk. You can't see their sale page without joining though. Good luck.

Thank Chris. I was hoping for $200. I'll watch E-Bay too.

eBay is a good gauge since it isn't somebody's asking price- it is waht somebody actually paid for it! There IS a market for Clods. I know because I sold off three or four of them with little trouble.

I also have a new EVX I might throw in to sweeten the deal....

I have usually found that selling things in parts will get you a better overall deal than tossing stuff in to sweeten the main deal. Somebody might want the EVX, and somebody might want the Sassy and somebody might want the axles and wheels but they may not all be the same person.
The EVX alone is worth quite a bit!

I agree with Chris on that point. You'll get more for the truck parting it out than as a whole.

I'm not really interested in parting it if I can avoid it. I've had the truck since they first came out in 198?
As for the EVX, it was smoked. I just got it back from Traxxas. If I'm reading the paperwork right, they replaced it with a new unit.
