Hey all,
Finally got done overhauling my briggs 16 hp. I stareted a thread about it. Well, finally got everthing buttoned back up, and stareted on the first couple tries.(with the aide of thrust) I just found a fault with the speed mechanism. The crap is sooo delicate, and springs everywhere, I'm going to try and fine tune it on Monday.

I would like to thank again all of you who have helped me with all of my questions!!!

Thanks again, Tyler

not that I could hear. The knocking sound was from excessive carbon deposits on the headers and valves I concluded. So if anyone has a briggs that knocks, clean the headers out. A wire brush works the best.

to add more to it, that should apply for any engine, its just where the carbon builds up to the extent, the piston starts to hit the head.
