Ok.Thanks What classes are you running on Saturdays and Sundays??
I don't now yet dennis, i am going to see whats best for everyone racing!!!! I will not be able to run all the classes we are going to run in one night, but i don't really segregate oval and onroad, i always enjoyed the onroad stuff to watch even if i wasn't racing one.We will have touring car oval for all interested in that, foam tires on every car mandatory. Paragon is allowed for all classes. When i get some time i will put the rules for all classes on here, so everyone knows up front. The 18t class is pretty much set in stone, it will be box stock, 1100 mah packs only, no lipoly's foam tires dirt latemodel bodies. stock motors only. Basically all you can do to these is change the radio, if a person wants too!!!!! Thanks for the insight on these cars Paul West, cause i didn't have a clue. The rtr tc4 class is basically the same thing, box stock with 27 turn roar approved motors foam tires. stick spec 6 cell battery packs in them for economy. We will run this class as an oval and onroad choice!!! The 18t's will be on the oval, 1/12 scale onroad cars all roar rules apply, with the exeption of a few changes, some guys i have talked too want to run mod, i personaly believe they need to be run with stock motors, or 19 turn. Thanks i will let everyone know more as soon as i can!!!! jeff johnson

Also, not to be left out, we will have a mini-t class on the oval also. Pretty much same as the 18t class, except 2 wheel drive!!!

1100 batteries only for the 18T's!?!?! Does this mean I can't run my 3 year old KAN 950's..... :p

Hey Jeff, I think I met you in Omaha last March. How big is this track going to be for your oval program and how far away from Branson are you guys. If your not to far it sounds like I need to plan on coming over to run with you guys when I head out thier to visit my inlaws.

thanks Joe James Denver Colo.

I am located off of 71 and 1-44, straight south of KC, i am 70 mi. from springfield, more than likely from colorado you drive right past!!!! Definatly come down and race. The track deminsions are 36 x 60 i don't know what the runline is yet, probably somewhere around 140" i think. Nice wide corners, i like running mod so it will be mod friendly. Thanks jeff johnson

02-05-2006, 07:12 PM
Yes mike, will start laying carpet tommorow, got our lighting in yesterday there will be 12 new 8 ft. 4bulb lighting assemblies above the track surface, This place ought to be light up like candlestick park!!!!!! The new scoring system should be in middle of the week, i already have the scoring loop for it, so the track surface can be put down. Has been a lot of work in the last 2 weeks. I will let you know more the middle of the week, We would be up and running to race this weekend, but there is not enough time to finish all of the pit tables and wiring for the pits, but we are still planning open practice Sunday, We will be open from noon til. 5 sunday for practice....

Mike, the pit tables where built today, the lighting has been the holdup, they are coming in tommorow night. It is still looking good for sunday we hope. If you seen what we started out with in the last three weeks, you would understand. The driver stand is built, pit tables where built today, ran air lines today into the shop so there is air to clean cars motors etc. without the noise of the compressor running while we are trying to run races. Scoring system will arrrive tommorow via ups, so as soon as the lights are up, and the scoring system is up and running the carpet will be glued down for permenant!!!!! We are trying our best, it seems as if there are not enough hours in the day to get everything prepared. By the way we have a brand new tire truer coming with all the arbors and a new 4 scale system for setups, and also for tech!!!!! I will let everyone know the progress after tommorow... see ya jeff~!!!

Mike, trying to get the scoring system working, tried to install in my sony vaio computer tonight, and it has different board, so had to drag an old dell out to do the scoring duties, took me most of the night to set it all up!!!!!

Manning

I have a pretty good list of goodies for the shop to order......batteries, charger, bodies, etc...........

If anyone needs anything parts wise email me @ jnjohnson11@hotmail.com i will have almost anything rc related in stock first of the week. Also anyone intersted in the new ksg car we will have several in stock as soon as they have the center shock issue resolved and shippiing them. jajnmj
02-22-2006, 04:00 PM
pics went through that time guys!!!!, wouldn't work @ first, i haven't taken any pics of the pits or the hobbyshop part of the racetrack yet. we are cleaning that area right now, the rest of the floors will al be painted grey next week when we have more time. Hope to see as many people this weekend as we can, the roadcourse will be pretty large track with a tough layout, it wil definatly be a drivers track. I have had some 3 flats in 19 turn open timing oval, and we have the bite to run mod!!!!!!! !9 turn was very fast paced, with more than one groove in the track too, i have passed cars on the outside!!!!!

jajnmj
02-22-2006, 04:02 PM
they are a little over 60 long and i think 36 wide, it is fairly short for an oval, feels about as long as gene's track was, but with the full rectangel perimeter wall it is wide!!!! the roadcourse will be substantially larger than what we have had in the past!!!!! The pics where hard to take and look quite a bit different in person, i could'nt zoom my camera in any smaller so the proportion look a little off!!!!!!

So it's the same width as are track in springfield but 10 feet shorter.

Sweet!

What time will the doors open on Sunday? Planning on being there if everything works out.......

jajnmj
02-22-2006, 11:15 PM
yes i believe so jason, it seems alot wider for some reason, i may be because it is a truss building and thier are no poles. The oval is definatly smaller than sroc, corners are arced a little more, they are 9 ft wide from center of ice to the wall, plenty of run room, but real wide on corner exit and entry. We ran somemore 19 turn tonight on it, and it is very intense!!!! rollout was around 225 in 19 open, i always run 235 @ sroc in 19 open timing so not nuch difference. With several cars on the track it makes for some real tight fast racing. The road course section of the track seems much bigger than what could be in springfield, i think it is because the layout of the track is just like omaha, outside of track is completly rectangle in shape. Everyone come down this sunday for some very fast racing, all you 18t guys come down too we have an abundance of fast oval 18t's and mini-t oval guys from joplin and pittsburg going to race the dirt track and the carpet track!!!!!
