I'm thinking to go with a loaner car and run Sk. What's a good starting set-up for the solid chassis SK? I know there's a few of these car running there. I'll be there early that Saturday. What is the entry fee? Is it the same as a club race or more?

it is 2 dollars more for the tour race. that goes for every tour race.
that is how the trophys are being bought.

Soft rears (25-35) no stagger. fronts should be slightly harder, trc single blues work well. .030 wedge or stagger. heavy rf spring (silver prog. wolfe or 24 associated) lf spring purple/black wolfe or 18 associated. rollout around 1.35 epic. Thats a 6-cell setup. As for 4-cell, I'll let you know what works, if I figure it out.

Nick,
What do you think I should use for tires etc. at Madness? I was planning on keeping the three shock setup.

Black Front and White or grey rears is a good start. You wouldn't want to run anything but 3 shocks on flat track. BUT, I do know of one person who gets a stick to work...........

anyone going to be at madness this weekend? Rick now would be a good time to get there. Def-a 3 shock car. White/gray/ I go with either a white left front or green and been using a gray/silver 70/30 bsr for the right front. red or purple front springs. Testing a new car this weekend and have no idea as to how it will react but going to be trying differnet things. Its been over a month since driving a pan car, should be fun. I had enough of the SK's forawhile. see you guys up there.

Rick run a green left front black right front and gray or white as brj had said.
I will be at Madness this week end for a tune up for the first tour race.
had my flat track car running in 19T at K&N, had to convert it back.

If it's a 6 PM start then I'll be there, but I doubt it. All the bigger races there usually start at noon. My daughter can't skip religion (First Communion this year) on the account that I wanna go race toy cars..........

Well the first race of the NEOT is in the books and what a sucess it was!!!
56 entrees was awesome!! Thank you to all that showed, we had drivers form
NY,RI,NY,CT,MA, and parts unknown....A couple of changes are already in the works for Sportsman class, instead of the purple endbell motors, it will be any ROAR stock motor with F-brush only.FULL FACE ONLY. this will be amended in the rules.
Also we had a small problem with drivers NOT going to the tech table after a Q round's
first race, we were easy on it, but we will not be so forgiving in future events about this. well off to do the points, be back in a few hours.

Great time last night, nice job Nick for putting together something that attracted such a group of guys and also to Chris for running a fast paced schedule. Getting home at 2 am could have easily been alot worse. It was nice to go to a race and have it be so competitve that any one of the cars in the A-main could have one the race if the crads fell right. Mike

Thanks and congrats to Nick for giving oval racing the biggest boost it's had in this area for a long time. It was great to meet a lot of new people and to see a large number of familiar faces under the same roof again.

purple endbell motors, it will be any ROAR stock motor with F-brush only.FULL FACE ONLY. this will be amended in the rules.
I'm all for it as I think it will draw more people to this class. That said, I have three purple endbell motors for sale and at least one has your name on it, Nick. It literally has your name on it.

guys dont jump off the purple endbell motors yet... most of the guys in the orl pro stock class run them with great results even tho you can run any roar motor.. once you get the com smaller and with the right brush and spring they can really fly..

if you dont belive me i hope to support the neot and nick and make some races and i will be running them in my cars just come have a look

That motor can not be used in the pro class as it is NOT roar legal. Matt not to worrie, I will hook you up.

Nick, With The Rule Change In Sportsmen To Any Roar Legal Motor, Will 19 Turn Follow, Or Are We Still Going To Be Forced To Run The Ultrabird? With The Poor Turnout For 19 Turn Something Needs To Change In That Class To Bring Up Attendance.

RC5150
02-06-2006, 11:44 AM
I agree Mike. I probably would've run 19 if I could've used my 19 turn motors. I stiil can't get over how hot your motor was.
