Alright! Its a new year and with a new year comes new races!

The US Pan Car Championships decides to take in a little California sun as we make our second stop in the Southwest region at Hot Rod Hobbies Raceway in Saugus. This is an oval qualifying race so the classes are:

10th scale stock
10th scale modified
10th scale 19T
12th scale stock
12th scale modified

Rules will be ROAR rules, with 3800 max batteries (IB and IP 3800 allowed) and ARCOR 19T motors will be allowed. Now I experimented with something in the 19T class to even up the racing and it went over pretty well so we are gonna try it again. Fixed timing 19T motors (ROAR or ARCOR legal) for the 19T class. Information will be posted in the next couple days including a flyer.

As far as I know in oval out here its purely adjustable timing for 19T. Do you think everyone will go out and buy fixed timing 19T's just for this race?

Well that was an experiment to even the racing out in AZ at the last race...if the consensus is for adjustable timing that is not a problem.

Practice Friday 11 AM until (Im not sure if HRH has lights for the track)

Saturday Track opens 8 AM Controlled Practice 8-12 PM Qualifying starts 1 PM 2 rounds (3 if we have time)

Sunday Track opens 9 AM Controlled Practice 9-12PM racing Starts 1 PM 1 Round then Single A mains

I will post a more detailed schedule later today

One of the classes that is normally ran out here is the Sportsman mod class. Is this class going to be available to run?

Its not on the docket but I will talk to Jimmy and see if that can be added as a track option class

Whos all going, I plan on it.
