Do u have good airflow going to the engine. If u are running a body then cut out the windshield and it will create more airflow or u can go with a rollcage like i did. I usually run with only the rollcage and it gets plenty of air to the engine to cool it off.

According to Traxxas, overheating is over 270 deg. Traxxas engines have always run hotter then most other engines. Some info on the Traxxas FAQ page at http://www.traxxas.com/support/index.php?action=artikel&cat=108&id=316

if there is a air leak you will lean out the truck and damage the motor very soon.if the truck cuts out at half a tank the tank has a leak and needs replaced.make sure you have a hole in the window, the top end around 3 1/2 out and work it from there.get a temp gun for $30 and make sure what the temp is.250 is ok ,but if it goes over 270 for a long time you got problems.sounds like it needs tuned in.to run in anything under 40 degree's when its cold is going to make it hard to get a correct setting .
