RACER X 02-19-2006, 06:00 PM
BallisticBill 02-26-2006, 10:17 PM Great day of racing this Saturday at the PLEX. Everyone there knew how to have fun and everyone did.
MARCH 31 to April 2, 2006 the "SPRING OVAL CHALLENGE" at the Hobbyplex in Omaha, Nebraska. Large facility with lots of pit space and a well stocked on-site hobby shop. Large oval track and high speeds. If you have never been to the HobbyPLEX then make this your first trip. If you have been here before then I'm sure you won't miss this event. Drivers from many states will be attending. Track location is just off the interstate and many motels are close by. "DON'T MISS THIS ONE"
Track web site is listed on the first page of this thread.
mullins 75 03-01-2006, 03:20 PM Sent entry form this morning!
hyperdriver 03-04-2006, 07:19 PM Should be a good one!!
Mark #10 03-04-2006, 09:34 PM Just sent our Entrys in the mail today. How about a pre-entry list if you have some?
 Mark
MURDOCKRC 03-04-2006, 09:52 PM Another fun day of racing today at the plex. Everyone laughing, joking walking around being buddies and that is the way it is supposed to be. The last two weeks have been great win lose or draw :)
Mark, I could be wrong because no numbers were given but I dont think pre entry is much if any. I hope to see everyone possilbe there though. Lots of people and good competition are always a good thing
Rob
BallisticBill 03-04-2006, 10:05 PM I turned my pre entry in today and it sounded like the pre's were steadily increasing. If you get your entry in by the 15 of March you save $5 on the entry, but even if you don"t pre enter and just show up you'll be at one of the best events for oval racers in the country. Lots of pit space. and a fast track.
Sonny B 03-05-2006, 01:34 AM How about an on-line role call.

Mark #10 03-05-2006, 02:24 AM 19 Turn and Brushless for Me, and 19 Turn and Stock for Danny White.

1/12th scale anyone????
BTW: How do the mod racers and the track for that mater feel about running brushless motors in open mod. Not trying to stir anything up just want to get a good comparison of how the new BL motors stack up.

FroBoy 03-20-2006, 12:49 AM The Last big carpet oval race of the year can't be allowed to drop of the front page.
Wait till you see what we've got planned for 2007...
HobbyPLEX 03-21-2006, 02:43 PM Had a few emails with some questions.
1) Yes, the Protoform Dodge will be legal.
2) Yes, the Novak upgraded 4300 rotor will be allowed
3) No, brushless will not be allowed in mod for this event. We will probably start allowing them to be run at our next event in the fall. Two thing will factor in, what the racers want and what ROAR does. We are working on things for next year and if everything comes together, we will using full ROAR rules starting in the fall.
Please let me know if anyone has any other questions.
Tim Ski
crisis641 03-21-2006, 04:54 PM Why aren't brushless motors going to be allowed to run in mod? I think they should be.
