O.K. the winterblast is over, What's the next event we are preparing for at K&N? I think the winterblast was a blast, attendance was down. So all the more reason to have another event SOON so that others that missed the blast can attend the next trophie race.
Who's in for this weekend? What class you running? I'm talking 1/28,1/29. I maybe there on Saturday with my son to get him some much needed practice.

I think it would be awesome if the track was open on thurs nights. i have every thurs night to myself. I'd rather be at the track. never have to much practice...

I can't wait till the new carpet and other stuff starts happening. I am starting to hear good things about the future. It will once again be "the" place to race.

When I was talking to Danielle at the Winterblast, I mentioned that if they ever want to update the sound system in there, I could help out. I have been a sound man and musician all my life and would be glad to help out with some used real inexpensive equipment. I could easily see a nice sound system with some music and a video screen with a live feed from a camera.
The place is way too quiet. My buddy came and shot some video footage at the Blast and he felt as a non-racer that the place could use something extra to make it more interesting for the spectators. Whe you go to a football, or basketball, or hockey game they play stuff like "We will rock you" etc. etc in between. I know once some things start to happen, it will snowball. It only takes a spark to start a fire, if Chad makes a few sparks, we'll bring the kerosene!

As many of you know we are looking to make some serious updates for the track. From paint to lighting, A replacement TV (In the old spot), music (thanks Rick) and more. But we need help. We will gladly buy lunch for people willing to help out - anyone up to it??? If so email me, with your availability - or even ideas. You can also drop a note here as I will continue to check.

I think the plans this far stand that we are painting the walls, track, shop - entire place including the floor. The carpet is to be done as well - as many feel keeping it banked is important. The lighting issues need some attention new fixtures are costly but something needs to happen. Also many shades if not all need to be replaced. On top of this list, finding reasonable rates and not spending a massive amount is a priority. Remember Chad only rents the space, doesnt own it.

The overhead is alot at the track..alot people. SO please dont think for one second any of this is about Chad getting rich. Its only about having the fun and HOPEFULLY (fingers crossed) just making enough to pay for the expense of being open....

Rick we do need to talk to you about the music... I agree 100% and started looking into this myself. I would much rather have help though.

One big thing I will say is we need help keeping the people interested - word of mouth is the best way to get people in the doors. Whether people want to plan special events, add events - any way of getting people back in - we appreciate it. I sent Chad to Enfield with tons of newsletters, calendars, etc. Im open to suggestions and ways to get the people interested in whats going on....(and hopefully back up to the track). Between this online help, the newsletters going out soon - and true supporters I believe you all will see the numbers start to rise. Buts its a combined effort.

The hobby shop needs improvement, first we need to decide if its staying where it is or being expanded. Theres a lot of unused space up at the track. Theres also the issue of having what everyone needs (always) and having great prices. Because Im new here - this is hard for me. Regardless I will continue to push on hoping to get it where it needs to be...although suggestions and help will be very much appreciated.

I think the first step is getting an idea of what people really want to see changed - planning the dates to close and do that, and seeing who's willing to help us. I would love to do everything all at once, but lets face it - that may not be possible. I told chad it all had to be done by the Sizzler - (LOL the chick put her foot down..) but if it could be done by chads 30th Bday - also the date for NEOT at K&N - even better.

So talk to me guys, I will do my best to share it all with Chad and push him in the right direction. Believe me he wants to make everyone happy and get the track back to what it once was.

The list is long, still growing but its important we get all the problem areas solved. Im here, Im listening, talk to this girl!

Friday 2/24 - $7.00 race night - doors open at 5:00pm racing at 7pm

Friday 3/3 - $7.00 Race Night, doors open at 5:00pm racing at 7pm
Friday 3/17 - $7.00 Race Night, "...."
Sunday 3/19 - Chads 30th Birthday (LOL)...... as well as NEOT - at K&N - doors open at 7am.

***Note: should we have extra hours the weekend of NEOT? - Saturday perhaps?

Danielle, I'm available to help with what ever you need. I've owned a track/track(off-road) I know how hard it is. Anything i can do to help. LMK. You should try to do as much as poss on the off days that the track is allready closed. It could be very hard $$$$$wise to close for a week. or even a day. Mike I appreciate the offer and will def keep it in mind. I think we are planning to sit down on Wednesday night with John Marsh to determine when this overhaul is actually going to start. FYI - Doors will open 5-5:30ish....I would love to promise Chad will be on time at 5:00 - but we all know we cant predict how the roads will be.

Our track was closed tonight because of school thing. A freind and Myself are going to come up if anyone is going to be there, also wanted to know who is racing what? or is it a practice night?
