I purchased a damaged 1/32 scale Viper Fly Slot Car that I am dismanteling for parts for building a motorized pinewood derby car. I have a few questions that I think you guys could help me out with.

1) What is the voltage range of these cars?
2) I have pulled the motor, driveshaft, ring gear, pinion gear and rear axle. The axle is just a hair short, where can I get a longer axle?
3) How do I remove the ring gear? with a small press?

This is just a start, I am sure I will have more questions, thanks for helping out a newbie.

I believe they run about 14 volts to 18 volts dc,the axle you can go to a hardware jobber an ask them for drilll blanks in metric I`m not sure of size but they could mic it for you or find something close at hobby shop and you can make a gear press from a cheap c clamp just be carefull. There is tons of slot tools on ebay.Pinewood slot car I need to see this! Are you just motorizing the pinewood car?
Good Luck
