What is the # or size of the RS dot mags that guys use on the HO cars to help with downforce?

Ronnie - for the price, you can go to this website and order multiple sizes to play with.

It depends on what car and how you attach them. The smallest 1/16" thick discs are the most versatile. In addition to T-jets, you can even mount them to the underside of 440x2 right onto existing magnets. I have gotten some of the thicker square ones and messed around with putting them in as traction mags on G-plus, HP-7's, but you have to build them up with something to get the height right.

They look neat, but I still don't know what size approx I will need in general.

The ones I use are disk shaped and about 1/16"(.062") thick and about 1/4"(.250) diameter or less. The radio shack rare earth or neodimium ones are ok, but there is better stuff out there. Hope this helps. :dude:

I use 0.187'' dia X 0.06'' thick for most of my playing around, including my own chassis:

I also sell a bar that converts the Tomy Turbo to SRT-beating specification.
