Franciusa (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060120/ap_en_ce/obit_franciosa)

I remember him from the one season series on NBC- SEARCH. He was one of three revolving characters, which also stared Hugh O'Brian, Doug McClure and Burgess Meredith. I really enjoyed his role and never forgot. You can chech out about the show at http://www.tvparty.com/recsearch.html.

Tony Franciosa was nearly a household name back then. He was also "Matt Helm" in the forgettable, short-lived TV series of the same name after Search ended (it was nothing like the Dean Martin movies of the same name). The last thing I remember seeing him in was Death Wish II back in the early 80's.

I always liked him. He had a distinct personality and projected a lot of energy on screen. Favorite role - Joey in "A Face in The Crowd".

At one time he was married to Shelly Winters, who passed last week.

Right on Zor - snappin' his fingers with hair-pomp bobbin' goin' "Foom-foom! Foom-foom!" to Lonesome Rhodes' music.

I love him in The Long Hot Summer and Hatful of Rain. And Name of the Game TV show was my first Franciosa encounter as a kid.

A damned shame. Though he was my least favorite Probe, Franciosa was alway watchable and made Name of the Game and of course, Search very entertaining.
I was hoping to get an autograph to go with my Hugh O'Brien photos too.... oh well.
