Comparison of Greenlight Boss to some of the others:

69 Greenlight
70 JL
70 100%HW
70 Jada BTM

First off I give major kudos for Greenlight making a 69 Boss 429. I am kind of sick of seeing so many 70 Boss 302/429's.

Overall casting authenticity
Scratch Jada from this test as they don't try to be authentic.
I can't complain a whole lot about any of the three castings. If I want to get picky the HW does not have the horse in the grill or the turn lights beneath the front bumper. The front of the GL looks a little to rounded to me when I look at it from above. Can't put my finger on why except maybe something with the outer headlight bezels. What gives the advantage to the GL on this category is that the hood scoop is open and you can see the ram air setup through the opening. I love that. On size, the JL looks better proportioned to my naked eye but I am not sure if it is more accurate.

Color and detail
I like that the GL attempts to add color to the front end turn lights. The JL gets points for having the rear side window rolled up and chrome trim color around the edge. Makes the car look better than the others from the side.
GL and JL get color points for using factory colors. Black and Grabber blue are two of my favorite colors. It is nice to see that all four used the appropriate color for their respective hood scoops. Overall the Jada is lacking in most details compared to the others.

Engine
JL rules this category. You can actually see Boss 429 valve covers and a ram air setup. The ram air setup on the GL looks good but the rest of the engine looks like a square. Both painted their motors blue though JL's seems to be the proper color blue. the HW has an opening hood and a motor which is about all I can say on it. The Jada has a non-opening hood.

Interiors
Interiors on all looked adequate. The steering wheels looked like the original three spoked versions. I can see pseudo clocks on the passenger side of the dash. Did not care for the white interior in the HW.

Wheels/Rims
Jada's are what Jada does. The HW's look nice though the wheel extend in the rear beyond the fenderwell. The JLs are adequate, nothing special. The GL's are great and my only disappointment (if anything could really disappoint me about this casting). Everything about the tire rim combination is perfect except I wish they would have blackened in the rims to give them sort of a magnum 500 look.

Base
The HW is the only one with any type of base detail. I like that GL numbers the cars. Why? I don't know I just like it.

Cost
Jada wins hands down on cost. However, I would pay more for better detail.

Overview
I believe the GL is the best of the four. The JL is a close runner-up. Both have great detail. They both do little things better than the other which makes them a good combination to have. I like the fact that GL did a 69 and that probably also aided in my decision.

The only problem I had with my GL is that Russ seemed to have left out a green one in it. I am sure he is working on fixing this situation ;)

Good review bro...

I love both the JL and GL castings. The JL front looks a bit too rounded to me ase well, but to be fair you are comparing a '69 to a '70.

The GL casting is excellent and I'm glad to see a nice '69 as well. The only thing that I think could have been done better with the GL were blacking out the wheels as you mentioned. I'm also wondering if the "Boss 429" tampo on the GL fenders are a bit too big.

BTW....detailed chassis would be icing on the cake. I do however, feel that the JL has a more realistically casted base and prefer it over the GL chassis.

One other thing....how much do you want for that Grabber Blue Boss? I need one
