Today, Great Planes Model Manufacturing (a subsidiary of Hobbico) and Steve O’Donnell announced that Great Planes has acquired the assets of Pro Blend as it relates to manufacturing O’Donnell brand fuels. Hobbico has been the exclusive North American distributor of O’Donnell fuels since 1997. With continuing supervision of quality by Steve O’Donnell, Great Planes will now take over manufacturing of O’Donnell fuels. Strict standards for superior ingredients and precise blending techniques will continue to assure no change in the high performance results that racers demand and can only get with O’Donnell fuels. In addition, Great Planes and O’Donnell have entered into exclusive agreements for development and distribution of other O’Donnell and Team Checkpoint products.
O’Donnell has been a leader in manufacturing of fuels for R/C cars for over 13 years, beginning with its popular Racing Blend in 1992 and followed by the R2R Blend in 2001. O’Donnell Racing Fuel has long been known as the leading fuel for racing and is used by many of the industry’s top drivers. The R2R Blend was engineered for ease of use and reliability for ready-to-run vehicles. O’Donnell fuels are distributed all over the world through distributors in Europe, Asia and America.
