I keep getting winfixer.com to come up as a pop-up. I've tried the stuff from ad-ware but it is still there. Does anyone know what would be the best way to get rid of it for good? Thanks

Brian

Two apps: Spybot: Search and Destroy, And Ad-aware. Download, install, and update the programs.

Shut down and restart in safe mode by pressing F8 once a second when you see the first window when the computer starts, then selecting safe mode in the windows start menu.

Scan the system more than once with each program, deleting each group of nasties that they find. Best way I found to deal with 99.85% of all spy/mal/adware infections.

Some get so bad like spyaxe require intensive research to find a solution.'
Worst case is when the OS gets corrupted so badly, format and reinstall is the only option.
