I'm going to give this a try. I have a dell 2400 serires. It has windows xp. I recently bought an mp3 player from creative that came with it's own software. Well, it always freezes while ripping tracks to the device. This software always pulls up musicmatch. Music match always freezes and brings up a c++ runtime error. Everything else on the computer works just fine. Any ideas?

I already tried downloading newer creative drivers from the net.

if you really really want to use the sfotware that came with it reinstall it or download a version from the web. Musicmatch is dumb and has bugs, find something else like winamp.

I agree with Vir. WinAMP has been a benchmark program ever since it hit the 'net. The program comes in two flavors; free (as in beer) and pay. The pay version has unlocked burning speeds and ripping capabilities that are impressive.
