Pewter02WS6 01-16-2006, 12:12 PM do they have any plans for firebird castings? i see they have a few pace cars available. various generation firebirds have been used for daytona and indy pace cars. i would love to see the following firebird pace cars in 1/64 scale. 1999 30th t/a daytona pace car 2002 t/a daytona pace car 2001 iroc t/a pace car 1996 various pace cars 1994 25th t/a daytona pace car 1989 turbo t/a indy pace car 1980 turbo t/a indy pace car 1981 turbo t/a daytona pace car 1983 t/a daytona pace car 1979 10th t/a daytona pace car i figure, always ask big and you might end up with some. :) here is a site with a bunch of pics of the above cars. http://www.geocities.com/ramairta2002/ Atencio 01-16-2006, 12:24 PM I guess my question that has been asked more or less by some others is what can we look for in future castings? harry_ca 01-16-2006, 03:31 PM Are there any plans to distribute these in Canada? I'd love to see these for real! H. SD64 01-17-2006, 12:15 AM Please keep the Mustangs coming.....especially the Shelby, Boss, Mach 1 and Cobra Jet versions. I'd really like to see a good 1968 Cobra Jet GT in 1:64 scale. Since the theme is "Muscle Car Garage", any plans for 1:64 scale diorama garage pieces such as tools, lifts, and mechanics? Swifty 01-17-2006, 12:53 AM Please keep the Mustangs coming.....especially the Shelby, Boss, Mach 1 and Cobra Jet versions. I'd really like to see a good 1968 Cobra Jet GT in 1:64 scale. I absolutely agree. The '68 Mustang coupe should be done in 1/64 also, in addition to the 1/24 that's coming. But a '68 Cobra Jet fastback... YES! 1979 Pace Car and regular 5.0/turbo four Cobra hatchback versions would be appreciated also. Since the theme is "Muscle Car Garage", any plans for 1:64 scale diorama garage pieces such as tools, lifts, and mechanics? Swifty 01-17-2006, 01:01 AM Here's a weird pace car idea. In the early '80s Toyota paced the Indycar series with a then current Celica Supra. I'd love to see this one! http://www.geocities.com/dust_inc/images/pxx16.jpg madmanmark 01-17-2006, 11:05 AM Do they have plans to do their 1/64 cars in 1/24 as well (I know, I know, I sound like a broken record with all this 1/24 stuff, but hey, that's what I collect!)?? I would really like to see that '68 Impala, and the upcoming '70 442, '67 Firebird, and '63 Chrysler 300 in 1/24. Milezone 01-17-2006, 12:33 PM They do have plans to do some of the 1/64 scales in 1/24 scale. Watch Greenlight as I think they will be a big player for 2006 in the Muscle Car world. I'm not talking online, but If I happen to be at a Target will they be their? Is this a hobby only collectable? As far as what cars I'd like to see, how about going after some foreign exotics? From what I have seen these cars are going to be a huge hit. Chris glhshelby 01-18-2006, 01:08 AM Mopars, Where are the Mopars!! So far looks like mostly Pace cars? Drdealone 02-06-2007, 05:25 AM My question is twofold and relates to GM quantities made. How many Corvette release one gm's were made for each of the three corvette castings? 40 or 80? There were two colors made of each casting so were 40 GM's made for each color or just 40 total? How many GM's were Concept Camaro Stock Version GM's were made in the latest MCG release? 70 or 210. There are three colors on the stock version concept Camaro so were 70 GM's made for each of the three colors or just 70? Thanks, DrDeal pontiaccrest 02-06-2007, 07:17 AM Any more Pontiac's coming? gr6120 02-06-2007, 02:02 PM Are there any plans to distribute these in Canada? I'd love to see these for real! H. I've been wondering this for a while too . With the popularity of die cast cars in Canada, a continual lack of current product to satisfy demand here (Hot Wheels and Johnny Lightning are good examples of questionable distribution), combined with the high quality and pricing of GLs offerings, the line is bound to do extremely well. The fact that GL pieces are limited editions, compared with the hundreds of thousands produced of any given HW car, would be another selling point. I can't see GL being peg-warmers here ... unless, of course, GL suddenly started producing significantly greater quantities, making them particularly easy to find. I suppose multi-lingual packaging would be an consideration, but this certainly hasn't been an insurmountable issue in the past (of course, there will always be collectors who want only "U.S. packaging," but that's nothing new). Hoping to see GL in Canada in the not-so-distant future ! Regards, gr6120 johnz28 02-06-2007, 05:01 PM will greenlight make 67-69 camaro ,that will so cool. d.o.m.001 02-06-2007, 05:26 PM I've been wondering this for a while too . Please, please, please consider Canada. Thanks Domenic  PS We'll send down some of our cheap beer if you do. glhshelby 02-06-2007, 05:32 PM will greenlight make 67-69 camaro ,that will so cool. that would definately sell very well.I`m kinda surprised they didn`t start out making this car. TheDarkCutlass 02-06-2007, 05:34 PM Will GL be making more 1/43 or larger scale vehicals other than the corvette and indy cars? EX: an Oldsmobile! :) I know 86% of the people here don't collect larger sizes, but im part of that 1% that will collect anything that has a rocket on it, and tend to be founder of the larger scales myself. Quantum 02-06-2007, 07:08 PM Post 2000 SUVs from Mercedes, Acura, Lexus, BMW... Inciteful 02-07-2007, 12:45 AM .............. http://www.greenlighttoys.com/mcgstockandcustom_series3 Sorry to burst our bubble, but they dropped the Viper from the Mopar set. I would still like to see it as well as... '89 T/A GTA & Turbo '67 GTO Coupe '70 GTO Coupe & Convertible '74-76 Firebird, T/A Coupe & Convertible (heck, just all of them from '67-'02) '92-Present Viper Coupe, Convertible, and Racing variety. And if they have the Barret-Jackson license, could they not do some of those popular concept cars that have crossed the block in the past couple of years? Olds Y-88 anyone? Roy Nakamura 02-07-2007, 01:48 AM My question is ... Hey Greenlight...why aren't you online anymore? I miss your updates and info! edseldave 02-07-2007, 01:56 AM I'd like to see some whitewalls on the cars instead of the overdone redlines .. Also make some Mercury Cyclones !! PLEASE !!! sheldon 02-07-2007, 04:28 AM Nice cars, beautiful concepts, but... yes there is a but; PLEASE IMPROVE THE DETAIL AND INTERPRETATION OF SCALE! As examples, check out the following and you will see 1/64 castings that are vastly superior: Here are some lines that I think better: 1) All Hot Wheels CoolCollectibles/100%HW/KaliKustoms/Legend series, seem to be obsolete now... 2) The amazing 1/64 American Muscle by Ertl's that came out in 2000, sadly discontinued. 3) 1/64 CM's out of Japan 4) 1/64 Kyoshos out of Japan (only defect here is NO opening panels) 5) 1/64 road race Corvette by GMP: http://www.gmpdiecast.com/products/...rvettes#13 621 6) 1/64 Tamiyas from Japan, where the JGTC series were resold in the US through Muscle Machines. 7) The 1/64 Chevy Hot Rod series sold by Muscle Machines (MM is out of it now, but they had some good stuff if you like detailed diecasts with opening panels/engine details) 8) Last nbut not least, the beautiful new "shelby Collectibles" line with all opening panels. HonCBRF4i 02-07-2007, 04:35 PM Don't know if this has been posted yet, but my question is: Where is the product? I haven't seen anything anywhere since MCG release 1. The Kmart and TRU in my area haven't received anything yet. glhshelby 02-07-2007, 04:49 PM one of my area KM`s finally had a few come in but the others didn`t get it at all.I`m wondering if it just goes to the higher volume stores. 04stangman 02-08-2007, 12:24 AM Must have more Mustangs...................................... Woody68RS 02-08-2007, 05:39 PM Since JL did away with the program, how about something similar to a "Your Car is the Star" program, where Greenlight collectors submit their cars to be featured as a Greenlight? I''d like to volunteer my '68 RS for consideration... http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i175/Woody68RS/TPShow11wide.jpg stangcollector 02-08-2007, 08:31 PM Not sure if this was suggested - true to scale 1/64 trailer with a tow vehicle? possibilities for this one would be endless!!!! macnut 02-08-2007, 11:26 PM I think Greenlight is making some awesome cars. 67-69 Camaro's would be COOL! Lpgeoteacher 02-09-2007, 11:36 AM VWs! Please! Pretty Please! With Sugar on top! **On Knees** 60sMetal 02-09-2007, 06:57 PM I'll ask this one too, how do stores determine which regions/stores sell GL? Nothing in this area that I have ever seen on the pegs :( wannafbody 02-10-2007, 12:17 AM How about a MakoShark Vette and some of the early race car Vettes. 98and up TransAm. WLCollector 02-10-2007, 01:29 AM How about a MakoShark Vette and some of the early race car Vettes. 98and up TransAm. thats right, listen to him, 98 and up trans am... How about the 1998 Hurst Edition Trans Am or a carl blackbird. wanna get some new tooling going on do a firehawk, mecham, slp ho. GO-GTO 02-12-2007, 01:10 AM Any more Pontiac's coming? I'd vote for a '67/'68 Firebird 400 convertible with a spoiler on the tail. ... I would still like to see ... '89 T/A GTA & Turbo '67 GTO Coupe '70 GTO Coupe & Convertible '74-76 Firebird, T/A Coupe & Convertible (heck, just all of them from '67-'02) '92-Present Viper Coupe, Convertible, and Racing variety. I'd vote for all the classic GTOs in convertibles. A rare '69 Judge convertible and '70 GTO convertible would be really nice! ... Also make some Mercury Cyclones !! PLEASE !!! I'd vote for a '64 Mercury Comet Cyclone hardtop and it's AF/X version. The '64 Mercury Comet Caliente convertible would be cool also. WLCollector 02-12-2007, 01:38 AM http://www.greenlighttoys.com/mcgstockandcustom_series3 Sorry to burst our bubble, but they dropped the Viper from the Mopar set. And if they have the Barret-Jackson license, could they not do some of those popular concept cars that have crossed the block in the past couple of years? Olds Y-88 anyone? thats right 67 - 02 firebirds, do all the years and all varities if thats what it takes to do the late 98-02 bodystyle... NorthernMuscle 02-14-2007, 04:52 PM How about these 3 cars that are actually popular and haven't been done: 1. Pontiac Catalina 2+2 convertible 2. Later '80's Firebird 3. Roadrunner Convertible I don't see the point in making obscure cars that no one will buy? GL has to make a profit. The above cars would appeal to lots of collectors and sell like hotcakes. JLWFAN 02-14-2007, 05:53 PM My choice would be 55 and 56 Chevy Bel Airs Also 55 and 56 Fords !!! Bet the detail on these would be ggrreeaattt!!!! 40Intrepid 02-15-2007, 10:10 AM I would like Greenlight or JL to do the 61 Plmouth Fury, sedan, convertible, wagon, police etc. Am I the only one who wants this Exener-era Plymouth? Also some C-bodies, 69,70,71 Plymouth Furies, and 70 Chrysler 300. Also some Roadrunner converts like the 70 in Lemon yellow, also a 75 Fury/Roadrunner. And some modern Mopars too Neon SRT-4, Ram SRT-10/Rumble Bee, Mega Cab Bighorn, The forthcoming 08 Avenger. More Mopar convertibles, wagons, police, utility trucks, whatever. Forget the brand X stuff, just do more Mopars! Inciteful 02-15-2007, 08:16 PM Here's a couple of questions: 1. Was there licensing and or casting problems with the Viper, Challenger Concept, and the Charger SRT-8? 2. About how much time (average) does it take from design / ideas for what to cast to the final product? In essence, from a note on paper to the final product. 3. Any plans to do any pickups down the road? Thanks for taking the time to look! Kevin vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
