do they have any plans for firebird castings? i see they have a few pace cars available. various generation firebirds have been used for daytona and indy pace cars. i would love to see the following firebird pace cars in 1/64 scale.

I absolutely agree. The '68 Mustang coupe should be done in 1/64 also, in addition to the 1/24 that's coming. But a '68 Cobra Jet fastback... YES! 1979 Pace Car and regular 5.0/turbo four Cobra hatchback versions would be appreciated also.

Here's a weird pace car idea. In the early '80s Toyota paced the Indycar series with a then current Celica Supra. I'd love to see this one!

They do have plans to do some of the 1/64 scales in 1/24 scale. Watch Greenlight as I think they will be a big player for 2006 in the Muscle Car world.

My question is twofold and relates to GM quantities made.

How many Corvette release one gm's were made for each of
the three corvette castings? 40 or 80? There were two colors
made of each casting so were 40 GM's made for each color
or just 40 total?

How many GM's were Concept Camaro Stock Version GM's
were made in the latest MCG release? 70 or 210.
There are three colors on the stock version concept Camaro

I've been wondering this for a while too :confused:. With the popularity of die cast cars in Canada, a continual lack of current product to satisfy demand here (Hot Wheels and Johnny Lightning are good examples of questionable distribution), combined with the high quality and pricing of GLs offerings, the line is bound to do extremely well. The fact that GL pieces are limited editions, compared with the hundreds of thousands produced of any given HW car, would be another selling point. I can't see GL being peg-warmers here ... unless, of course, GL suddenly started producing significantly greater quantities, making them particularly easy to find.

I suppose multi-lingual packaging would be an consideration, but this certainly hasn't been an insurmountable issue in the past (of course, there will always be collectors who want only "U.S. packaging," but that's nothing new).

Hoping to see GL in Canada in the not-so-distant future :wave:!

Nice cars, beautiful concepts, but... yes there is a but; PLEASE IMPROVE THE DETAIL AND INTERPRETATION OF SCALE!

As examples, check out the following and you will see 1/64 castings that are vastly superior:

Here are some lines that I think better:

1) All Hot Wheels CoolCollectibles/100%HW/KaliKustoms/Legend series, seem to be obsolete now...
2) The amazing 1/64 American Muscle by Ertl's that came out in 2000, sadly discontinued.
3) 1/64 CM's out of Japan
4) 1/64 Kyoshos out of Japan (only defect here is NO opening panels)
5) 1/64 road race Corvette by GMP:

6) 1/64 Tamiyas from Japan, where the JGTC series were resold in the US through Muscle Machines.

8) Last nbut not least, the beautiful new "shelby Collectibles" line with all opening panels.

Don't know if this has been posted yet, but my question is: Where is the product? I haven't seen anything anywhere since MCG release 1. The Kmart and TRU in my area haven't received anything yet.

thats right 67 - 02 firebirds, do all the years and all varities if thats what it takes to do the late 98-02 bodystyle...

How about these 3 cars that are actually popular and haven't been done:
1. Pontiac Catalina 2+2 convertible
2. Later '80's Firebird
3. Roadrunner Convertible

I don't see the point in making obscure cars that no one will buy? GL has to make a profit. The above cars would appeal to lots of collectors and sell like hotcakes.

My choice would be 55 and 56 Chevy Bel Airs Also 55 and 56 Fords !!! Bet the detail on these would be ggrreeaattt!!!!

I would like Greenlight or JL to do the 61 Plmouth Fury, sedan, convertible, wagon, police etc.
Am I the only one who wants this Exener-era Plymouth? :confused:

Also some C-bodies, 69,70,71 Plymouth Furies, and 70 Chrysler 300.

1. Was there licensing and or casting problems with the Viper, Challenger Concept, and the Charger SRT-8?

2. About how much time (average) does it take from design / ideas for what to cast to the final product? In essence, from a note on paper to the final product.

3. Any plans to do any pickups down the road?
