Can anyone confirm that the shaft diameter on the motors in these chassis is the same as on the Tomy Turbo/SRT?

I've just measured on two cars : one M Chassis and one Tomy Turbo and both are 1.47 mm (millimeters)

But when just doing it by crossing their pinions, the LL pinion was easier to push on the Tomy motor and the Tomy pinion was slightly harder to push in the LL motor (but both were firm on the axle) and that's why I measure them with my "pied à coulisse" Don't know the english word for this tool http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/9/94/Messschieber.jpg/300px-Messschieber.jpg

I have found a sleeve which enables the use of pinions with a 1.475mm - 1.5mm bore (such as the ones you describe) with the LifeLike T motor, which has a 1mm wide shaft.

Next question is - what other pinions will fit the 1.5mm shaft. Obviously Tomy and now we can add the LifeLike M pinion but what about Tyco etc?

And what rear axles will work with the LL chassis?

Tyco 440 and also AFX GPlus pinions fit the LL motor

Rear axles on Tyco interchange also but AFX don't, slightly bigger

So my sleeve could allow the use of Tyco pinions and gears on the LifeLike T chassis?

And also the pinion form the M chassis?

Just tried the Tyco gear on a T chassis and it works fine...
But the TOMY turbo shaft, even if it has the same diameter don't work in the LL chassis because of it's gear that is too close and pressed against the chassis

But if your sleeve work for the pinion, then after using Tyco axle with gears will work fine

Hope it has been helpful to you
