coach61 01-14-2006, 01:54 PM InChat we were discussing current projects..here are a few of mine and the Candy Tyrell Iscored so cheap...enjoy...
In Order of apperance...
March 751 I am not to happy witheh decals, I am working on a second one and have added pipes under the cowling and chromes the rear wing..( Thanks Boss!). I have a few more things to do to that one before it makes the big time of being shown.
Candy Tyrell.. a rare afx I got for 20 Bucks.. I never had one as a kid so it holds a special spot inme heart.
BAR 006 a newer version of my previous bar car.. this is Jenson Button's ( who will be shown to be the dog he is this year).
This is the start of a Renault RE34 Its a tad too dark and is on a resin body..
Cuda Resin...couldn't resisit teasing you snow bound people who don't have enough sense to flee south in the winter.. :p Has Vincent rims
Last but not least.. a Chevy SS convertible.. also a rsin cast with chromes bumpers.. and RRR wheels.
jack0fall 01-14-2006, 08:25 PM Looks real good. But I think that SS is SSsssscccrrrreeeeaaammming to be dropped... :D Keep up the great work.

Wes
joez870 01-15-2006, 03:31 AM Man-o-man, Dave, We gotcha! Your race cars are truely beautiful, but the ragtops are top-notch! (pretty soon you will be doing hammered mercs & slab-sided caddys too! ) The colors work very well also! Those gold wheels set off the red one quite nicely! ( always loved that combination!) If you ever decide that you don't have room for them, Let me know before* you put them on Epay, eh? LOL...no, really. :)
I sure don't know much about the F1 cars, but those look super cool too! That red #9 with the aluminum wheels...WOW! it looks like I could climb in and drive away! (probably best that I can't!) LOL
Keep up the great work! I am looking forward to seeing more of your special stuff!
T-jetjim 01-15-2006, 08:53 AM Nice job Coach. I take it that the move is done and you are back to serious work on slot car projects! The convertibles are awesome.
Where did you get the curbing? Is that from Greg Braun and are you happy with it?
Jim
Montoya1 01-15-2006, 11:43 AM is the March an SCI one or your own work?

Yup the move was put on hold. Being a Canuck living in the U.S. put that whole move in a complete mess.. The Mortage company added 1.5% in case I loaded the house on a truck and fled across into the northern tundra I guess.. funny this house we own now is the same rate as our neighbours and me being the nice guy I am told them in which direction to stick thier paper work. LOL..
The Curbing is Tomy actually it comes with the chicanne.

You Pegged it Dean, it is the SCI one.. I did this one straight out of the pack just paint and decals. the second one I added exhaust stacks under the cowling it should be done this week. it looks a lot closer to the real car. The Third one already has the entire rear end removed and I am adding stacks and a plastic engine off a diecast to get more of that slapped on motor look of the 70's. Just taking my time on it so that it will be actually drivable and not fly apart and this is proving to be a bit harder then I had anticipated. But with the great modlers on this board I have gotten some good ideas so I am sure it will come out the way I envision it..

You should send pictures of your modding to the guys at SCI, I'm sure they would be happy to see what you did.
Personally I can't wait for them to do some Brabhams.
There is a Brabham coming out later this year (not mentioned on the site) that will blow everyone away...

I actuallly email with Richard alot and I have seen the new Brahbam Not the one I perosonally wanted but hey any F1 Is good...lol..I want Richard to see the second project and hopefully they can incorpert the stacks into the cowling so I do not have to canibalize Chaperals to get them lol.. Or Beg JOE to resin some up for me ( Hint Hint...)..
And I actually think they have a link on the site now for the Brabham under coming soon.. BTW hows the chassis coming...I have a need for a Dean Machine lol...

boss9 01-16-2006, 11:54 AM Very nice Coach!
With those snippets and “press releases” you gave on chat, I was looking forward to these. It was worth the wait.
You put the time in these ones’ and it shows!
Great work all around!

The Brabham I'm talking about is not the BT44 or 44b mentioned on coming soon. All will revealed in due course.
As for my chassis Tom Lowe had it looked at by his factory. There has been a futher development but I'm not allowed to clarify.
Sorry to be so mysterious on everything!!!

coach61 01-16-2006, 01:09 PM No problem Dean, some things are better left to the great world mysteries and as always a greatsurprize when they arrive. I hope th emystery Brabham is a ture Bt49 I love that car and am actually on doing one by kitbashing myself. ( Deep in the project box..lol..) I just like the way the wings and foils swoop on that Car plus the fact Piquet was my favorite driver in the early 80's even if he did go though a severe dork stage..lol..
