Barooose 01-25-2006, 02:10 PM Wow. I guess I had forgotten just how many we had in 1/10 oval. Some big names down in the lower mains too. Should be fun again this year.
Gotta Bring Your A Game.
Bruce Is Your Birthday On The 4th This Year
Barooose 01-25-2006, 02:41 PM My birthday is when ever it needs to be for Hooters.
Remember, That's Dick Wood
MikeM 01-25-2006, 03:40 PM you da man Dick!
Danny-The-Dude 01-26-2006, 12:20 AM Enjoy it boys................it's always a blast!
"The washed up, never was, Dude"
philb1 01-26-2006, 07:18 AM Oh Dude........
Last night was very interesting. A total of 48 drivers came to the VFW in GB last night to get used to the GB carpet. These 48 drivers were diversly spread though out the classes. I left after the quailifiing runs as I broke my radio antenna and had my spare ones at home. So I don't know who finished where. But did know the Brian Fairchild and buddy paul were top quaifiers in oval
MikeM 01-26-2006, 06:24 PM Hock refresh and old memory please, is there preregistration or just day of.
you can register the day of. Prob a lot easier, last year they had pre-registation on the net but i didn't see it this year.
triclone-dave 01-29-2006, 10:29 PM Next week will not come fast enough
OvalDad 01-30-2006, 12:50 PM Is there going to be a brushless class?
Sorry this year they didn't decide to do brushless. I told them I thought it was a mistake. Due to renting the building they wanted to make sure they were out in a acceptable amount of time for the day. I do feel it will be added next year.
OvalDad 01-31-2006, 09:51 AM Thanks for the quick reply i will put a car together for stock then...............
Gadzooks 01-31-2006, 11:14 PM I'm sitting here thinking to myself, why should I slaughter my car in practice, if any practice at all, just to run 2 heats and a main?? Doesn't seem worth the effort? Have to think about this one for awhile......
Hurricane Racer 01-31-2006, 11:37 PM I agree with Grif!
Although im sure im going to be there no matter what, Id like to run at least 3 heats!
Given the fact that the turnout will be lower due to Snowbirds starting Tuesday, I think we could make 3 heats in time. And 2 years ago, I thought they assured we would have the building for the whole night so we wouldnt have to rush?!
Do they just want us to show up, no practice, run 2 heats and a main, packup and leave.. not enjoy ourselves?!
BTW, What is the traction compound rule?
no compound rules.
They are not looking to get done by 4pm or 5pm jsut didn't want to be 8pm or 9pm
I know they said there is a number of attendance, if they hit that then it would be only 2 heats. I think they said 80 racers and it goes to two heats.
Not positive, as I said I am not running the event and only passing on news I hear
Hurricane Racer 02-01-2006, 12:37 PM Sounds good Hock.
Thanks for passing on the details!
NH
Doing what I can for the world of "up nort" racing :hat:
wiscentral52 02-01-2006, 04:02 PM are they going to let us practice?
Hurricane Racer 02-01-2006, 09:12 PM Yes.. Practice is still 8-11AM - Split between oval/on road.
Youll need every minute of it, its not the easiest to egt around! :)
NH
Hurricane Racer 02-02-2006, 10:21 PM Hock, what is the preferred tire setup?
wiscentral52 02-02-2006, 10:28 PM OH GREAT!!!!!! thanks for getting me worried Neil. :freak:
I plan on running 3 whites and black rf and adjust from there
normally in the basement I run 4 whites
Barooose 02-03-2006, 10:06 AM Last year I ran 3 whites and a gray right front.
Hock, I hope they designate time on the track by number of cars in each class- not just X number of minutes per class. A couple years back, the 3 stampedes got twenty minutes and what was it 40 pan cars got twenty minutes?
Steve don't worry. It's kinda like racing in a blender, hee hee.
I have no clue as how they are going to set it up. Hopefully they can adjust things
I've been to busy latley helping out buddy. but need some race time
HERE IS THE LASTEST NEWS FROM ANOTHER THREAD. DON'T HURT THE MESSANGER :)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I guess any fixed end 19 turn will do. I'm not real familiar with the 19 turns, but if thats the way its done most places, so will we. The doors SHOULD be open at 7 am or so. We need 30-45 minutes to set up, practice should be ready by 8. You'll get 2 -15 minute sessions of practice. Practice schedules will be on the pit tables. Trucks will run the oval.
Hurricane Racer 02-03-2006, 12:27 PM Is anyone going to be available at the track selling BSR tires?
Will be looking for White rears/fronts and Pearl/White rear/fronts.
NH
I was just told that a large box of tires was given to Northern Hobbies for sale at the race. I don't know the compounds that are in it but it sounds good for tires. I'm sure you can call and have some set aside for you if you need them. Northern will be on hand selling parts.
here is there contact information.

crazy1 02-05-2006, 01:00 PM I would like to thank pro star racing ,northern hobbies for the great racing , good times .also like thanks all the sponsers for all the door prizes
Barooose 02-05-2006, 04:25 PM I've got to agree with crazy 1 on this. Very clean fast racing, especially considering the size of the track. Great time yesterday, now they just need to work on the weather a little bit. 20 - 30 cars in the ditches on the way home, but people still going 70 mph. Yikes.....and one car going 15, no not me.
wiscentral52 02-05-2006, 05:18 PM Cody and I had a great time yesterday !!!! The drive home was alittle tricky but we made it home in one piece.
you knkow we have had this race at different times of the year, due to the rental availablity of the building but 3 of the 5 years it's snowed on that day
triclone-dave 02-06-2006, 06:03 PM You have it we will come
