Figured i would go ahead and start this one.....

I would recomend looking into your rooms as soon as possible even if there is a chance you are coming .. or are planning to come..... Seems there is a Big cook off contest coming to ROckingham Dragway the same weekend now.. Park of a National contest from Jack Daniels Cook off series.... so rooms may fill up quickly in the area.....

Track is fast and some realy close racing it's any bodies shot.......

Track record fell in MOd last night.... Greg Honeycutt took it to 59 laps... can't remeber the time but it was an awsome run... Greg and Richie Mac have both been flirting with it and Greg got to it an busted it wide open.........Great run Greg....

I looked at the website for the Nats but couldn't seem to find out much about the size of the track. I gather that Sandhills is huge. How many feet (driveline)? From the pictures it looks way cool.

i THINK ITS 280 DRIVE LINE

Center line is 260 feet.....groove is probably 245 feet

Is the track open on Fridays for Practice? I was hope to make it over 1 time to try a few things. Its something around 14 hour drive, would like to make it a 2 day practice if possible. Also, The week of the Nats when will the track be open for Practice? I need to make a Hotel reservation. Monday is good for me!!!!

I drove oval on carpet last night for the first time since the birds last year......Just about bit me again.... I packed up the Ol' Pro3 for the birds....Never know....maybe someone wont show up!! Sand hills is THE BEST carpet track in the country!! Dont miss the nats there!!

Well, my son and I are registered,..room is reserved,..is it march 22 yet? Looking forward to doing something different! This will be our first time on a track like this,..so I am hoping we can get any help that might be needed,...and I will be sure to stay out of everbody's way if need be.

I got a set up set sheet from Mike Russell. One thing for stock what pinion and spur would be a good starting point? roll out? tire sizes? weight stagger??? and anything you can think of that would help. Me and my son will be up there on wednesday around 3 or so, I figure about 6 to 7 hour drive from fla. So all the practice we can get on wednesday and thursday should help. I did talk to willie shipman, he did provide some insight and mentioned that everbody up there would help out any way they can,..thats what I already like about the place. Is it March 22nd yet!?

Oh lord there is no telling what Willie told ya..... Normaly iwould say don't believe him.....lol

I will look into the gear stuff for ya...
