Was trawling the web and came across this...

It's dated 11 December but I don't recall seeing anything here about them.

RIP to them both :(

I made the following post on 8/20/2005:It is worth noting the passing of prolific jazz musician and film/TV composer Joe Harnell, who died last month of heart failure at the age of 80. His television credits include composing the music for "The Incredible Hulk," "The Bionic Woman," "Alien Nation" and "V" (original miniseries). He received three Emmy nominations for best dramatic score.

He was my mother's second husband; they had been married for 20 years. A memorial tribute will be held at the USC campus on September 11.I guess you get some of the news a little late Down Under!

Does anybody still sell that self-distributed double CD of his? I remember reading he wrote the old United Artists logo music from the 70s (the snappy stuff that I loved which does not appear on ANY dvd that I know of) and I absolutely LOVE his take on Hermann's NbyNW theme in the V miniseries. Would love to get these recordings (would stop people around me from hearing me hum them to ill-effect.)

I believe most of his recordings are still available on CD. Check out:

Yeah, just a tad behind the times - those mail pigeons have a long way to travel. Sometimes the poor things just don't make it...
