If ya wanna start out cheap and dont want to worry about crashing an expensive plane go with the GWS slowstick.Get the smallest gws servo's and reciever that siut the plane.Use the stock motor. And get a 1200 7 cell nimh batt. for it.Also get a good 5-6 channel computer radio for it.Or if you want something nitro powered just go with one of the ready to fly trainers tower hobbies has for sale. You can't go wrong there .They even have one with a type of gyro that corrects the plane if it steers off coarse..Most important!!> (join the AMA and join a club they will teach everything you need to know) <:dude:

I agree with pitbull on that!!!! I like to have Alirons and rudder and elevator and throtal and spoilerrons and alot of mixes!! I fly compition so i need alot of these controls i am getting to to much depth here! If you can go with a nitro trainer i would go with that!!! Brandon Snyder

Trainers should be cheap, easy to fix and forgiving to fly. In the photo is a 4 piece Guillows foam toy($6) out fitted for slope soaring. Flys equally well with rudder/elevator or aileron/elevator. "MY" recomendation is an inexpensive 2 channel with standard servos. 5 minute epoxy will fix anything that you can break. http://photos.hobbytalk.com/data/510/Cheap.jpg
If you just gotta have power, saw off the nose and install any old .049.
