Sorry if this has been asked before:

I was watching the Movies On Demand PPV Episode III last night and, from what I can recall, it seems that the scene where they put together Darth Vader's parts and he yells, "Nooooo!" was changed a little bit.

Does anyone know or know where I can find the info on any changes possibly made?

I don't know where you'd find that info. I seem to remember reading that there were no changes made between the digital theatrical release and the film release (which would be my prime suspect for the origin of any such changes). But I saw the movie in theaters projected from film and in pure digital form, and I'd swear the energy shields on the droids and platforms over the lava on Mustafar were significantly more visible in the digital release -- duplicated on the DVD version.

Hmmmm ...

I don't have any resource for this information but I would think that if you noticed a change, it is because there probably was one. Lucas's ongoing habit of "changing" and "enhancing" his work makes me to say this. I will do a search a little later on to confirm.

I noticed no change from the theater, and DVD. Both looked the same.

^^It may just be my imagination: I think I remember Sidious laughing maniacally as Vader cries out over losing his wife. It also seems it was a long shot in the DVD where it was a closer one in the theatrical version.

I only suspect the change due to the habit Lucas has of 'tweaking' his movies (sometimes for the better, IMHO).

I suspect the long shot/medium shot thing is a trick of the huge theater screen -- I can see it that way in my head, now that you mention it, but I don't think it really changed.

Still suspicious about the relative visibility of those heat shields, though! ;)

I don't remember it being any different from the theatrical release and my peeps don't seem to remember a difference, either.

I think that if Vader say the emperor laughing like that, Vader might have had second thoughts as to their partnership.

Another possibility, did you see on PPV at home or at a hotel? Studio's ofthen do a different edit for the hotel/airplane/cruiseship market.

As far as I know Palpy was only smiling in a creepy way when Vader screamed.

Wellllll......I happen to have access to a "Bootleg" DVD of the theatrical release and I own the Legitimate Dvd....I will check them both out and let you know.

Thanks, Nightsky!

PM: I did see this on PPV last night at home. Just seemed a little different. Like I said, could easily be my misremembering it.

You're probably right. I'm sure I just didn't remember it right.

Yeah, I remember you noting the difference back when it was released. I saw it in a regular theater and readily noticed the heat shields, so it may have been something unique to the print you viewed or the projector used.
