Maybe he was influenced by the Barrett-Jackson Car auction on the Speed Channel? (LOL). Some crazy prices.

I thought I read in the description that there were no chassis's under the bodies... Come to think of it, that does make them more rare... :D

Nope its not you. The buyer must have gotten some flack about the $$ he was asking for and pulled the listing... Maybe there is some hope for the "greedy evil doers" yet.

Not to beat a dead horse - again, but why is someone who doesn't ask a price that we think is appropriate for a product that is completely discretionary to our lives somehow evil? If someone asks more for a discretionary purchase than I'm willing to spend then I don't buy it. Who is harmed by this?

Any seller who purposefully misrepresents a product, tries to deceive buyers, or uses E-Bay inappropriately is wrong. But outside of those reasons anything that sells on E-Bay was obviously priced appropriately for at least one buyer. E-Bay is a buyer controlled marketplace.

AFXTOO, I agree whole hardily... P.T.Barnum said it best "there is a sucker born every second"... or something like that. IMHO the auction was a farce from the get go.

You know I found out that PT Barnum never said that- it's an urban myth. Do a search and you'll see.

Nice watch. Be sure and put it in your e-Bay "watch" list. -Doh! :p
