What do you guys run for ride height at short flat asphalt or carpet??

you want to run as low as the rules allow you to, without rubbing the carpet.

Mike is right, you want the thing as low as possible.
But that doesn't help you much if you were looking for a number...
I don't know if that is what you were looking for but just in case...
I'd say start around 5mm in the front, maybe 5.5 in the rear, and
work with that to start.. (carpet)
It's tough to start too low, and work up...
Unless you are really good, I doubt you will feel .5mm. I'd opt to be
safe, and give yourself that .5mm.
I've had handling problems before, and could not for the life
of me figure them out... try this.. try that... ended up being too low...
duhhh....
Mark your chassis bottom, or tray, with a crayon or something that will rub off
if in doubt..
