I went to chipmunk hill Friday night to turn a few laps. Everything went extremely well. The surface of the track was awsome, not a ripple in it. It was hard packed and not tacky. You could still get a really good bite. i told rusty to leave it like that and he should not have a problem with the track moving or rippling. He just covered it back up with the plastic and was going to leave it till this Friday. Rusty had the majority of the lap counter software setup. I helped him with some little things. I ran a test with a transponder and it worked with out a glitch. Rusty will be alittle green the first couple of weeks but it is an easy program to work. You guys with personal transponders can run them with this software.Rusty and Robin have put alot of time in this fall. The place looks outstanding, its new lights brightened the whole track up, everything is freshly painted and spotless. There is alot of bench space now, he should be able to hold 40 race or more pretty easy. I just wanted to let everyone know what I had seen at the track. Rust and Robin you guys did alot of work and a hell of a job with everything. The hard work will pay off for you. Rusty I will be making some phone calls this week to let some of the guys no. Hopefully we can get some out of towners to come and check it out. Got to admit, Chipmunk Hill is one of longest running track in Northern New York. Come on out guys and give it a try. AWSOME JOB Rusty and Robin

Hello everyone!
Thanks again to Jamie with his post. On my last day of vacation and wanted to respond to questions from reply posts above.
Directions: From I-81 take the Theresa/Lafargeville exit (#49). Turn right onto Rt 411. Go through stop light into Village of Theresa. Turn right onto High St. at bottom of a big hill. Then take a left onto Pine St. We are 200ft up on right. Light will be on showing sign at end of building. If you miss High St. and go up hill you can take a right onto Pine st at top of hill. BE CAREFUL if bad road conditions. There is a 90 degree right turn and it could get dicey if you are not familar with it.
Schedule: We will continue to run on Friday nights. Doors will open at 5pm and races start at 7pm. I promise racing to start on time and we will move quickly through 2 heats. Then we position mains from single best run with winner bumps to next main. As Jamie stated, we have different software that I will have to get used to; patience for two weeks then we go!
We hope there is enough interest for people to show up for a practice night. We have done Wednesday in past. I don't want to conflict with racing at Dave's. We can do this any other night of week; give me some input. We can leave it Wed or change it.
Classes: I expect there to be both trucks and cars. We can run stock motor class and a spec motor class for each if they are supported in numbers. As well, I understand the late model class and 18th Mini T is getting popular enough to support a class. We will see what is out there for 2 weeks then create the classes for season run.
Pics: sorry to say that I have none for this post. Track is composed of hardpacked clay. As Jamie stated I will let it get drier in hopes of it not rolling up as it has in past. Tons of grip and fast! Lanes are 6'+ wide, 40' straights. Overall track distance/lap is around 105'.
We have pit room at one end of track (10-15), a downstairs cellar area (12-15), small area at other end of track (2), and another small room (3-5). I think we can easily accommodate 30 racers now; even more if people don't bring their whole garage with them....just kiddin guys. We have separate M/F restrooms, and a small parts shop with snacks, soda, candy, etc. to keep everyone happy. As things keep moving Jamie and I will work out getting some common parts/accessories on hand. Lots of outside parking without being on the street.
Hope this answers questions and finds everyone well after the Holiday season. Look forward to seeing everyone and hopefully some new faces as well. Please post or call us with any questions. Thanks!
