How do you tell the novak brushless motors apart.................for example the 4300, 5800, 5.5 and the 6.5

Novak recommends and inductance Meter and give you the readings to look for. I've not seen a 6.5 or the 5.5 so I don't know if they even look the same.

Without an inductance meter, disassemble the motor and underneath the purple sleev it is written on the stacks.

Inductance meter is the ONLY way to tech a brushless motor. Go to teamnovak.com. To the left click on tech info. Then click on motor tech. There is a visual display of exactly how to do it and the readings you should see for a 4300 and a 5800. Inductance should never be below 27 for a 4300 or below 17 for 5800. Every track that runs brushless should be teching brushless motors using this method. Nothing else.

Does it make a difference if you are running the super sport speed control with the 4300 versus the gtb speed control with the 4300?

The gtb has a fan so it may run a bit cooler. but it is not any faster then the other..

by running cooler would you be able to get away with running a higher rollout before the speed control shuts off for thermal? do you know what temp the super sport shuts off at?

Thermal shutdowns.

Novak- 160 degrees
LRP- 240 degrees

And it can make a difference in roll outs
