They seemed to be heading that way on Kobol. Just Plain Al 01-01-2006, 01:32 AM I've thought the writers were headed in that direction for a while. Personally I see no reason for it other than "survivors angst" I fail to see where it could advance the series. I am however ready to be convinced otherwise. Eagerly looking forward to season 2.1 Richard Compton 01-01-2006, 04:48 AM Adama likes em ill! PhilipMarlowe 01-01-2006, 08:29 AM I'm surprised that's news, I thought they had obvious sparks flying since Adama lent her that book and asked her to dance early in Season 1. Hey, McDonnell is still a serious babe imho! El Gato 01-01-2006, 08:36 PM I'm not sure how that would enhance the series unless the writers see it as an opportunity : 1) to infuse additional character development for Adama as he copes with her inevitable death 2) to introduce an element of fear and suspicion into the series if Roslin somehow manages to survive her terminal illness. Is she a Cylon? A Lord (Mistress?) of Kobol, etc. And I agree, McDonnell is still a babe. José NUM11BLADE 01-01-2006, 09:53 PM Same here, Mary McDonnell is still a looker.:) irishtrek 01-02-2006, 04:41 AM One question had to do with the Presidents cancer and getting some kind of help from the Cylons, so who knows? And yes Mary McDonnell is still good looking. Martin Dressler 01-02-2006, 01:05 PM I fail to see where it could advance the series. Let's see... the President of the Colonies having an affair with the Commander of the Colonial Fleet... Nah, you're right. No possibility for dramatic conflict there. :) Getting Roslyn and Adama together is obligatory; the trick will be in keeping it from feeling that way. So far the BSG writers have been very adept at surprising us with the expected. Let's hope they haven't lost their touch. PhilipMarlowe 01-02-2006, 01:42 PM In the context of the new BSG story, it'd be kinda weird if they weren't attracted to each other. I mean, they're close in age, both were single when the Cylons attacked (so there's no "mourning the spouse" issues), and they're both smart. Not to mention the spice of danger and the slim odds of finding any of the other 50,000 survivors near as compatible. Heck, I bet if Adama hadn't been shot twice in the chest, they would have done the horizontal mambo episodes ago! El Gato 01-02-2006, 02:36 PM Heck, I bet if Adama hadn't been shot twice in the chest, they would have done the horizontal mambo episodes ago! Would getting shot be that much of a deterrent? :jest: José vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
