Listening to my BG season 1 soundtrack, I was struck by a couple tracks that were very interesting. One in particular is called Battlestar Operatica and has a rich operatic vocal track and orchestral accompaniment. I didn't recall hearing it in the series. The notes say it, and another track called The Dinner Party, are from the episode Secrets and Lies. There has been no such episode in season 1 or 2. My thinking is these are gag tracks included as a sort of bonus, but why relate them to a fictitious episode? There was a 1996 film by the same name. Any guesses?
Also, the lyrics to the opera are priceless. They are sung in Italian of course, but the English translation is included. A sample line or two:
Woe upon your Cylon heart
There's a toaster in your head
And it wears high heels
:p
Edit - did some searching and it appears thet Tigh Me Up, Tigh Me Down was also known as Secrets and Lies. Don't know why, but there you go. Still don't recall the opera track. Off to rewatch the DVD.
